Norks to target US with nukes

Among all this other crap we’ve been dealt in the last several weeks, the North Koreans announced their intentions to carry on with their tests that eventually wwill threaten the United States, their “sworn enemy” (yes, it sounds like a movie villian’s line). From CNN;

The North’s National Defense Commission said the moves would feed into an “upcoming all-out action” that would target the United States, “the sworn enemy of the Korean people.”

Carried by the state media, the comments are the latest defiant flourish from the reclusive North Korean regime, whose young leader, Kim Jong Un, has upheld his father’s policy of pursuing a military deterrent and shrugging off international pressure.

I’m not stupid, so I don’t think they have the wherewithal to attack us. But I didn’t hear anything like this from North Korea during the Bush Administration. I think they recognize an opportunity to get Jimmy Carter back and talk him into giving them free shit like they did in 1994. Leon Panetta says that there are no outward signs of the Norks preparing for a launch – but you know how far we can trust him. From the Associated Press;

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta says he’s seen no outward sign that North Korea will follow through soon on its plan to conduct a third nuclear test.

But he says that doesn’t mean much because Pyongyang has the ability to test in ways that are difficult to detect.
