Hamas declares victory; MB calls for violence

| November 22, 2012

Hamas has called the ceasefire agreement reached with Israel yesterday, brokered by Egypt, a victory over Israel according to the Associated Press;

Eight days of punishing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza and a barrage of Hamas rocket fire on Israel ended inconclusively. While Israel said it inflicted heavy damage on the militants, Gaza’s Hamas rulers claimed that Israel’s decision not to send in ground troops, as it had four years ago, was a sign of a new deterrent power.

“Resistance fighters changed the rules of the game with the occupation (Israel), upset its calculations,” Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas, who attended the rally, said later in a televised speech. “The option of invading Gaza after this victory is gone and will never return.”

As long as one member of Hamas is still breathing, they’ll consider it a victory, I suppose. Meanwhile, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt condemns the cease fire and calls for continued violence, according to the Associated Press;

“The enemy knows nothing but the language of force,” said Mohammed Badie. “Be aware of the game of grand deception with which they depict peace accords,” he said in a statement carried on the group’s website and emailed to reporters.

His statement was a sharp deviation from the role played by President Mohammed Morsi in the last week. Egypt’s role in brokering the deal has been hailed by U.S. officials.

Any attempt at negotiating with those creatures is perceived as weakness. It’s only been like that for a few thousand years, but the West is a tough study.

One of my daughter’s Jewish High school classmates move to Israel and is now part of an Infantry Brigade. He went from a pudgy kid to a pretty sharp looking soldier over the past year. The IDF is a definite ally in this mess.

This war is just a continuation of the attempt by the Nazis to exterminate the Jews. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Muslim brotherhood was patterned on the NAZI political organization, and has simply followed up after the defeat of Germany in WWII.

Muslim Brotherhood:

The Muslim Brotherhood is the root of the problem in Bosnia/Serbia. It is the root of the problem in the Middle East. Unless & until our own government recognizes that the Muslim brotherhood is the Arab continuation of the Nazi ideology, there will never be peace. There will only be war, with intervals between the wars which some mistake for peace.

Common Sense

What I don’t get is that Egypt is now run by the Muslim Brotherhood and has clearly said that they support Gaza. Turkey has also condemned Israel, yet the US is asking both countries to help negotiate a cease fire. That’s like having the enemy as the moderator. What the heck are we thinking? And why is Israel listening to the Obama Admin?

I just don’t get it.

Living in Israel

Ceasefire: Israel ceases; Hamas fires.

Everyone here is pissed.

I have had the misfortune to talk with true Fanatics and my conclusion (I believe history will back this up) is you can not negotiate with Fanatics (definition is we are right and everyone else is wrong) you have to have the ablility to compromise they do not, regardless of race, gender or Relegion the only negotiation is a 45 to the face.

Every time Israel is forced to quit defending itself those firing upon her claim victory.

Let’s see if I have this right: Somebody attacks Israel. Israel defends herself. Israel is condemned and forced to stop. Meanwhile whoever fired upon her this time runs jubilently around in their streets while Israel waits for the next attack.

Yeah, I can see how victory could legitimately be claimed by those who force Israel once again to stop defending herself and simply sit and wait for the next attack.

It’s nuts, really. What is even nuttier is that Nazi connection, which most certainly is plain to see. but the American left would much rather call the rest of us Nazis for celebrating Thanksgiving. Idiots.

Old Trooper

Well, it’s always a victory for the thugs, because every time the little bastards start up and then are in the process of getting their asses kicked by Israel, they start crying for international intervention. As usual, the Israelis are forced to stop the ass whoopin and the scumbags get a reprieve to rebuild and re-arm for the next time they start in on Israel. The dirty secret is that they haven’t stopped firing rockets into Israel which gives us the modern definition of cease-fire, which is; Israel stops pounding the shit out of them, but they get to keep firing on Israel. Yeah, that works.

Here is why this was a victory for Hamas and Iran: The missile attacks forced the Israelis to activate Iron Dome and emit their radio sigatures.

The Iranians were smart enough to capture and clone the radio signal for a U.S. drone last December. They cracked radio contraols, took over the drone controls and landed it themselves on their territory.

Now, the Iranians have used that technology to acquire all the information they need to possibly defeat Iron Dome, which was their real objective.

They know what the emission protocols are, they know whether the missiles are fire and forget, they know the frequency range or logorhythm for the F&F missiles, and the know the cascading coverage for defense rings, etc. They can either take over the Iron Dome radio emissions or they can blind them or merely confuse them.

The Iranians and Hamas know exactly what they were doing: They were preparing for the nuclear missile attack on Israel.

AP, you might want to lay off the caffeine; Iron Dome was only designed for its current mission: shooting down artillery shells and short-range missiles. It would be worthless against ballistic missiles.

As for the Hamas “victory;” it is typical of the regions psychology. How many here recall hearing Saddam Hussein celebrate his victory over the US after Desert Storm? Did you catch how many of the locals fawned on him like a rock star?

From the Western perspective, Hussein was both crushed and humiliated. From the Arabic perspective, he was a hero for standing up to the US and surviving. The fact that his army was annihilated was irrelevant; after the fight Hussein was still there to mock the Great Satan.

Same thing for Hamas. They killed some Jews, and Israel didn’t invade. For them, that’s a victory.

Casey: Given the proximity of Israel to Syria, Lebanon, the Med, Gaza and Egypt, the area is so tiny that thier defense system would be geared to only short-range missile defense.

I don’t think Iran will launch a long-range attack from its homeland. I think it will launch from Gaza or Lebanon.

I guess no one is in a fiesty mood tonight. It’s too damn pleasant around here. Where are the trolls?
