Karzai continues to whine like a child

| November 19, 2012

Apparently. President Karzai of Afghanistan doesn’t have enough money in his 401k and he’s whining about the rights of detainees in American custody in hopes of getting some hush money. From Associated Press;

President Hamid Karzai says in a statement issued late Sunday that some of detainees are still held by U.S. forces even though Afghan judges have ruled that they be released. He also decries the continued arrest of Afghans by U.S. forces.

Karzai’s office says these acts “are completely against the agreement that has been signed.”

I’m certain that if he looks hard enough, Karzai can find something to complain about that has to do with the Taliban in his country instead of bitching like a twelve-year-old girl about the treatment of detainees. I hate that little punk.

Meanwhile, according to the New York Times, Pakistan is releasing Taliban prisoners faster than they can catch them to help Afghanistan meet the time lines to advance “peace” talks with the Talban;

The insurgents were quick to praise the releases. A Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, reached by telephone, said that there were “important” prisoners among those being freed, and that the insurgents had confirmed that some had already reached home.

Richard Hoagland, a deputy American ambassador to Pakistan, praised the move as well, and said the United States would help Afghanistan and Pakistan provide safe passage home for the freed prisoners.

“We have said from the beginning that it is very important for Afghanistan to lead and to own the reconciliation process,” Mr. Hoagland said. “And there is going to be a role for very important players like Pakistan, too, so it’s a very good step and we are pleased.”

Yeah, I don’t see where this can be anything but good for the “peace” process. Peace will be exploding every where soon.

“And there is going to be a role for very important players like Pakistan, too, so it’s a very good step and we are pleased.” Oh goodie! That does it for me. Next item.

And this wasn’t a cross post from the Duffle Blog?

Regardless of what Karzai does, or does not do, the Taliban will hang him as they Najibullah, who behaved the same way toward his Soviet protectors.

Don’t blame Karzai for doing what Obama orders. Praise him for those more numerous times when he tells the POTUS that he is the duly elected President of an allied Nation, and for when he condemns Pakistan for being part of the problem, and the Taliban for killing unarmed civilians.

Not to worry. The Taliban accidentally published its entire mailing list of members’ names:

That should settle the problem. Now we don’t have to give Karzai any more money to ferret them out. We know who they are and what they are doing, thanks to this Taliban Dilbert-ish e-mail cc: job.

Snowcrash

Kinda ironic headline since his palace is full of whining boys running around wearing makeup and being used for sex. True story.
