Pot, kettle..
We have a simple way to avoid gun violence according to an expert:
Mexico urges U.S. to review gun laws after Colorado shooting
“Because of the Aurora, Colorado tragedy, the American Congress must review its mistaken legislation on guns. It’s doing damage to us all,” Calderon said.
Yep, every gun death in Mexico is our responsibility?
DOH!
The presidency of Calderon, who leaves office at the end of November, has been overshadowed by his efforts to crack down on the drug gangs. Fighting among the cartels and their clashes with the state have killed more than 55,000 people since 2007.

How about we push a nice little dmz about a mile south and call it a day. I wonder if it would improve the situation in Mexico and along our own border.
Another foreign leader wanting to influence U.S. laws. Sounds like what happened in some European countries back in the laye 20’s and 30’s. How did that work out for those citizens?
Very few firearms in the cartels are actually state dept. sales. M-16s and the like. (Corrupt military and police)
Just sayin. I believe the private purchasers account for less than one percent of the suppliers if my memory serves me correctly.
What about the be-headings in Mexico?
Is that our fault also?
@Joshua – these are the facts that need to be put out there. The only numbers we are going to hear in the coming weeks will be about how much ammunition and how many guns are owned by private citizens. I’m concerned about the medias effect on those folks that are not users of social media that will be swayed by mainstream media and the progressive output of ads.
We need to get the numbers of gun owning law abiding citizens that are among the populace. The fact will trump the
Blame murkah
The same guy who came and stood in front of Congress telling us how horrible Arizona was for trying to enforce law in regards to illegal aliens from HIS country coming here. The same guy who’s in charge of a country who’s Southern border with Guatemala is fenced up and guarded like GTMO.
The fact that no Representative or Senator had the courage to walk out of that speech is beyond me.
If he were so serious about kicking out the cartels, he’d have been dead a long time ago. But his opinion of anything in the US really means nothing, not just because he’s the President of Mexico, but also since he’s leaving in a few months. Buh bye!
I would like to be the first to offer the President of Mexico a nice, hot, steaming cup of shut the f*** up.
It’s not the guns in the US that kill Mexican citizens, FFS. It’s the guns that Eric Holder’s cabal has been supplying to the cartels. How in the hell can anybody believe and buy into the obvious BS pushed by the progtards?
We invaded the wrong countries – Mexico should have been first, running the ruling European families (Spaniards) back to their peninsula.
if he blames the USA,he does not have to face his failure. Joe
The root problem, which no one seems to want to look at seriously, is the massive amounts of drugs being consumed by citizens of this country. Sure, there always have been and presumably always will be some percentage of thugs and thieves in any society. But most crime in this country for the past few decades can be directly tied to the drug trade or the consumption of drugs.
Until we as a society are ready to address that simple reality we will never stop the cartels and their distribution system. It’s one of those supply and demand things. An extremely lucrative one.
Meanwhile – we law abiding citizens really do need them to protect ourselves.
I’m beginning the call for stricter machete-control laws in Mexico.
