Phony Marine ventilates phony lover of phony 18-year-old prom queen

| June 25, 2012

Yeah, that’s a lot of phoniness for one title isn’t it? The story sounds familiar, so if I did this story before, I apologize.

The moral of this story will shock most of you; not everyone on the internet is who they say they are. I know, seems incredible, doesn’t it? Anyway, let me see if I can sort this for you; A 46-year-old former Marine, Thomas Montgomery, who never saw combat pretends on the internet to be an 18-year-old Marine headed to Afghanistan to impress an 18-year-old high school girl who turns out to be a 45-year-old woman called Mary Shieler who sent pictures of her own daughter. So Montgomery was planning on leaving his family and move to (where else) West Virginia to be with his prom queen, who probably wouldn’t notice that he’s a fat, bald 46-year-old until it was too late.

Well, Montgomery’s wife found out about the online buffoonery and emailed a real picture of her husband with his family which touched off Shieler who found one of Montgomery’s co-workers, Brian Barrett, and flirted with him, which made Montgomery jealous and led to him shooting Barrett three times and killing him.

Sounds like a Lifetime movie, huh?

Montgomery pleaded guilty to Barrett’s murder and was sentenced to 20-years.

Prosecutors in New York desperately searched for a reason to charge Mary Shieler, but ultimately, could find no law she had broken.

In her defence [sic] she claimed that she was keeping Montgomery online so that he couldn’t talk to other teenagers.

Shieler has never apologised [sic] to her daughter and her husband divorced her and Jessi cut off contact.

Yeah, cuz making a man insanely jealous enough that he’d murder someone is better than him talking to teenagers. I guess it’s people like that who send their debit card numbers to Nigeria.

Thanks to Chief Tango for the link.

Not sure if this story pisses me off or confuses me. I think, wait…ahhh…forget it! I’ll forward this to my wife, I’m sure she can appreciate the plot more than I can.

Old Trooper

Actually, Jonn, it IS a Lifetime movie. The wife unit watched it this weekend and was telling me about it. Before it started, she asked me if I was going to watch it with her. I gave the usual and proper response; “um, no”. So, because I didn’t watch it with her, she feels the need to fill me in on it afterwards, in case I was curious about it (which I wasn’t, but she seems to think I was).

NHSparky

20 years is all the douchenozzle got for all that buffoonery?

Prayers to the Barrett family–he seems to be the only innocent person in all of this.

AW1 Tim

20 years? He should have gotten life in order to keep him out of the gene pool.

Old Tanker

Holy Days of Our Fucking Lives….you just can’t make shit like this up. Reality is far more interesting than fiction…

I’m with you Sparky, The only real victim is Barrett…Of course this has broken up two families as well..

I’m assuming the “upskirt” shot mentioned in the article of the daughter (allegedly taken by the mother without her daughter’s permission) must have occurred after her daughter’s 18th birthday. Otherwise, I think the lady should have been prosecutable under child porn laws.

Trivia question: what USAF pilot sub-specialty uses Marine_7002’s acronym answer in comment 9 above as it’s unofficial motto? (smile)

PintoNag

To quote the famous TAH line:

“Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

Marine_7002

Damn it!!! I know the answer to that. Guess I can’t post the answer, since I posted it in the first place. You’re sharp, Hondo.

Hint: the motto involves a mammal. Also, the pilot sub-specialty referred to involves pilots who have proven themselves to have exceptionally big brass ones.

Picture to follow soon (of the aircraft, not the big brass ones).

Old saying, “You can’t fix stupid.” Thanks TAH. Honestly, when I am having a bad day, I can come here and read something like this, shake my head, and think, ‘hell, it ain’t that bad.” Wow.

AW1 Tim

I know that AF specialty, and yes, those guys had exceptionally LARGE brass ones. Surprised they could fit them into the cockpit.

They remind me of the USAAF B-17 crew who named their aircraft “Flak Bait”. 🙂

Wild Weasels….Isn’t that what McCain flew?

@15 Right on target about the Wild Weasels, Old Tanker. Ding!

However, McCain flew A-4 Skyhawks (Scooters forever!). The Navy used them for “Iron Hand” missions (flak suppression), but the “Wild Weasel” nickname was (and is) an AF term.

The story as to where “YGBSM” is here:

My bad, I knew it wasn’t navy….didn’t think before I fired…

Hondo

Correct, folks. But there’s no truth to the rumor that the first WW pilot was Maj. Steele, Callsign – Balls’O. Though that would have been apropos IMO. (smile)
