Classy OWS protesters
I wrote earlier in the weekend about the park police moving into McPherson Square on k Street in DC to remove the sleeping gear of protesters in order to help them conform to regulations forbidding them to sleep in the park. Well, it seems the peaceful hippie shits tried to escalate the situation by tossing bricks into the faces of the officers who were merely doing their jobs according to the Washington Post;
There were tense moments. Late in the afternoon, a police officer was struck in the face by a thrown brick. A man was taken into custody in connection with the incident.
In McPherson Square, where protesters once slept, ate hot meals and snuggled in friendly “cuddle puddles,” they can now stay overnight only if they stay awake, keeping only unfurnished tents for the purpose of a round-the-clock vigil, police said.
Of course, some protesters complained that they weren’t being tear-gassed;
“We’re being evicted without tear gas,” said Melissa Byrne, a protester from the District.
Schlosser said that police had moved in to do temporary “nuisance abatement” and that cleaning crews had found health hazards that included filthy bedding, bottles full of urine and several dead rats.
Yeah, I would be proud of myself if the police had to come in and clean up after me wearing Hazmat suits. This is what a police state looks like – taxpayer-funded housecleaning.

Those tents were largely empty any ways.
Actions speak louder then words.
Here’s what I think should be done. Let the out of control OWS hippies have a plot of land somewhere to protest. Put a fence around it and let them stay inside under their own laws and rules. Then see how long they really survive without assistance of some kind.
I like the idea, CI. After putting up the fence, they should put up a fumigation tent. Call the CDC and DOD to come in and monitor it. For scientific reasons. Don’t take it down until the last plague victim dies and they can fumigate/incinerate the corpses.
So the one guy is screaming ‘shut up’ and then screaming he wants ‘badge numbers’?
The hazmat suits should tell you everything you need to know about the occupy folk. Obviously never been to a Field Sanitation class…

Did anyone notice in the video that the only vermin that were freely leaving were the rats? Even the rats are smart enough to know when to get out.

Interesting question. If OWS is totally clean, and there’s no sanitation issue, then why on earth are the people cleaning up in full on bio-hazard suits. Even in the video you see mice running around.
Obviously OWS needs to dig up some of their so called Veterans and have them teach a field San class. Don’t think that’s gonna happen because most of their “Veteran” population either never served or never made it past basic. But hey what do I know. I’m only a Medic with 6 years experience.
