Getting better
In an interview with NBC yesterday, the president assured us that he’s getting better at being president as time goes on according to The Hill;
“What’s frustrated people is that I’ve not been able to implement every aspect of what I said in 2008. Well, it turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes. But what we have been able to do is move in the right direction,” Obama said.
“And you know what? One of the things about being president is you get better as time goes on,” he added.
Well, that’s great, I suppose that means he’ll be a super president if we reelect him. All of those things he promised to give away will be possible in another term. I’ve been looking for a reason to reelect him and now he’s finally given me one. Cuz, lord knows, I don’t want to vote against him if I don’t have to – that would make me racist.
I mean, after all, he ‘deserves” a second term, he says;
“I deserve a second term, but we’re not done,” Obama said during a pre-Super Bowl interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, who noted that Obama had told him in a 2009 interview that if the economy was still recovering in 2012, he would be a one-term president.

“…[I]t turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes.”
It TURNS OUT? He was supposedly a constitutional law professor, or at least vaguely acquainted with the notion. Is he just now picking up on over 200 years of political history and legal precedent?
You beat me to it, Sig. Am I the only one who sees a pattern of his seeing the Constitution as being in the way of his plans? Surely not.
I was 2. *beating face*
I am really glad everyone else spotted that. He understands the constitution, he just has a problem with how to circumvent it…
Oh the arrogance of it all is just mind blowing, all that comes to mind is Bullshit.
He was not a ConLaw professor. He was a ConLaw instructor/lecturer (not sure the term they use at Univ. of Chi.). This is a non-tenure track position which, in academia, means you are only a temp. Universities use these for courses they want to offer but for which they have not found “real professors.” It is kind of an adjunct type position.
I am told he was not very popular because he was…wait for it…lazy.
Susan, according to the UofC’s website, they’re called “lecturers”, an “other academic personnel” position.
“And you know what? One of the things about being president is you get better as time goes on,” Jeeesus, I would hope so, even blind squirrels find a nut once in a while.
This is the most pathetic plea to not look at what he’s done, or not done, and just hope for change.
So, I’m willing to take him at his word, he should resign, the economy is far from recovering.
And in another 4 years he would finally be getting the hang of it enough that the Constitution should just be suspended entirely and he declare himself King???
If he gets much better we might as well sell the Statue of Liberty to China.
