Germans postpone terrorist trial

| January 17, 2012

There are no real details, but apparently the three judge panel in the trial of Arid Uka, the murderer of Senior Airman Nicholas Alden, 25, and Airman 1st Class Zachary Cuddeback, 21 at Frankfurt airport last year have delayed sentencing in light of new evidence, according to the Stars & Stripes;

Germany does not sentence people to death, nor does it impose life sentences without possible parole. Findings of “severe guilt” would extend the time before parole was possible, perhaps by five years, German legal experts have said.

“New evidence has been revealed in the criminal proceedings against the alleged, so-called Airport attacker Arid U., that make it necessary to resume reviewing evidence,” the court said in a press release.

On Thursday, the court will hear from a witness and, depending on what they hear, the judges will then decide whether to continue with the trial and call more witnesses, or allow the lawyers to give new closing arguments and Uka the opportunity to make a closing statement, a court official said. The court official would not give any further information about the witness.

The little cowardly scumbag isn’t facing the death sentence, because he committed his crime in that enlightened European state, so I don’t see what new evidence could do affect the trial, I mean the dude already admitted that he did it, but the evidence must be important to delay the German justice train.

Unless, of course, the little dickless wonder gave up information on his fellow dickless jihadists, which I doubt.
