Dicksmith has been on vacation – I wonder how you run a blog and take a vacation, but he’s been at it longer than I have, so he must know better. But, his first post of the new year reports about the Iranian threats to US presence in the Persian Gulf, like many blogs did yesterday, but of course, he uses it as an excuse to attack the Republicans who were campaigning in Iowa.

Hearing nearly all of those who look to be President within of the US within a year repeatedly and enthusiastically champion the idea of a war with Iran isn’t going to make them act any less erratically. It only encourages actions like the threat to close the straight of Hormuz and making overt threats against US service members and their vessels. Such rhetoric is irresponsible, shows a lack of understanding of foreign policy and a disregard for the lives of those serving in the region.

I know it’s hard to decipher that paragraph, but in a nutshell, dicksmith thinks that the rhetoric of the candidates is dangerous to the delicate balance of diplomacy between the US and Iran. He talks of “a lack of understanding of foreign policy and a disregard for the lives of those serving in the region”.

I’d say the lack of understanding is those on the Left who don’t understand that Iran is already waging war against us and we’re too naive to admit it. And the disregard for the lives of the troops in the region is also from the left who haven’t been able to summon the testicular fortitude required to stop the Iranians from striking at the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan using proxies.

I’ve yet to see a post from dicksmith criticizing Joe Bite Me for his comment that the Taliban isn’t the enemy, which is the height of naivete. However, if one of the Republican candidates hinted the same, he’d have a blaring headline and tough talk language, wrapping himself in his military service and feigning outrage.

We’ve been at war with Iran through the terms of six presidents who’ve all looked in the other direction while the hits keep coming. Now we’re staring down the barrel of a nuclear Iran and still no one is worried about them and all are unwilling to stop Iran.

And dicksmith is just as willing to pussy out all for the sake of politics.

I have yet to hear any specifics from any of the candidates on what they would do about Iran. I wish they would do a debate specifically on that. Would they stick to precision air strikes? What would be Iran’s response to that? Would they commit troops? If so, how many and for how long? What would be their strategy around Iraq during that time frame? I know they don’t want to get bogged down in the details, but these are pretty high level questions.

“I know it’s hard to decipher that paragraph…”
It is easy, Jonn. Just use the same mentality that it takes to deciper those spam comments that slip through. Every bit as intelligent as they are.

However, if one of the Republican candidates hinted the same

Paul has. And yet strange how the MSM ignores it, no?

Yep. The irony here is, everytime they try to sell there “toughness” it actually makes them look less so, both here and abroad.

Huh? What the heck was that? I see it but I don’t believe it. Jeez. Ouch.

they will act as they always do, why? because they actually WANT a war. They want it on their terms but they want that war.
