Occupy New Haven and their upside down flags

| November 30, 2011

TT sends us a link from the New Haven Register about their local Fleabaggers and how they think they’re cute for hanging the American flag upside down in various spots around their shithole.

Yeah, they say it’s a signal for distress, signifying the country is in danger. But they’re not on a ship and there is no one in need of rescue services, so that’s just hippie bullshit. They’re beng intentionally disrespectful to the whole country…the country that allows them to spit on us like that.

Maybe they’d like to burn a flag and call it a distress smoke signal.

Well….at least one dirty stinking flea ridden scabied hippy out of thousands has his head screwed on mostly straight.

or at the very least calling in an air strike?

Liberal Civvy

I pass through New Haven fairly often and have friends, most of whom are pretty liberal, who currently live there. I spoke with a few of them tonight, and all agreed that this certainly lowered any sympathy they might have for the Occupy people there.

On a far better note, one of those friends mentioned a Yale-run care package drive happening next week. If any TAH readers are New Haven locals and want additional information, I’ll contact him again for the details and can post them here in the comments.

It would be nice, if OWS was actually respectful. but that was never going to happen. Does this make my blood boil? Yup. Is there a desire to make sure there is some distress. Yeah a little.

In the end its far more revealing than they realize. They will get their due in the end.

You know, if they actually had a semblance of brain activity, I too could show respect. But as those in CT are mostly liberal, unhappy, I can say that I am so happy not to live there anymore. It’s my home of record, but good God, a sad lot they are.

NHSparky

Dumbass flatlanders. ‘Nuff said.

Joe

Distress? What distress? No distress in this country. I don’t know what he could have been thinking….

NHSparky

Joe, c’mere. Ya left another pile on the carpet. Okay, either take a deep breath, or start yelping cause your nose is going in.

Is there a crisis in this country? Sure–a crisis of faith, or more importantly, lack thereof. Government has become completely unaccountable to the citizens. Got a pet project? Print up some more money. How to pay for it? Raise taxes, or just put off the bill until next year, next Congress, whatever.

These shitbags are confusing the fact that their existence isn’t paid for by you and me (more me than you, I would suspect) and their every comfort addressed by “da gub’mint” is somehow a crisis.

Newsflash–what my father told me many years ago still holds true today: “The world doesn’t owe you shit.”

Now if they could only manage to learn that lesson.

Joe

That’s one man’s opinion, NHSparky.

NHSparky

I’d say my opinion might be shared by the majority around here, Joe. Since when are you “entitled” to a fucking thing you didn’t work for?

Joe

Show me where I said that.

UpNorth

Well, Joey, which of Sparky’s 5 paragraphs were you addressing with your little inanity?
Then, go check out the post, “Somebody Needs to Pay”. She’s just like the Occutards in ________________(insert your favorite city).
It’s not their fault, somebody needs to pay. Why don’t you write her out a check, Joey?

Justindio

I live on the green …this guy is just some homeless dude who pirated one of our donated tents. that being said this, country is in distress not from the threat of another country, but because its destroying it self from the inside out we’re 15 trillion dollars in dept, were fighting a fruitless war. 656,129 people are homeless since 2011, 2,203,295 homes have been foreclosed these are just a couple reasons why we fly our flag upside down. WE LOVE OUR COUNTRY! wake up and smell the deficit.

NHSparky

And who exactly created the deficits in excess of $1T per year? Funny how when Bush was president all you ever heard was “worst economy since Hoover” (when unemployment was under 5 percent) and “record deficits” when he was passing spending bills with deficits in the $300B range.

Just out of curiosity Justindio, who’d you vote for in 2008?
