WalMart Black Friday shopper pepper sprays crowd

| November 25, 2011

Apparently, taking a cue from their local police force, the regular citizens in San Francisco near LA have taken up pepper spray as a tool they need for shopping at WalMart;

Shawn Lenske, a Los Angeles fire spokesman, said the injuries, all of them minor, were due to “rapid crowd movement.”

Police Lt. Abel Parga says a woman used pepper spray, hitting other customers. It’s unknown what caused the confrontation.

Parga said police were looking for the woman. No arrests have been made.

Word is that UC Davis’ Chancellor Linda Katehi will be issuing an apology later this morning.

Next time, aim better. But other than that it was a good job.

heh. “Rapid crowd movement.” I’ll be chuckling about that for a while.

OWB

And folks wonder why most of us think “Black Friday” is a most excellent day to remain at home??

Mr. Chips

The WalMart is in Porter Ranch, an upscale suburb of LA located in the north end of the San Fernando valley (and just a few minutes from the heart of the pron industry).

Sporkmaster

I think I found a possible cause.

Jonn you may want to re-jigger the post..your link goes to the San Jose Mercury News on a Stick, but the WM where the peppery pouty peasant did her thing is located in LA, not San Francisco. 50k Quatloos says there aint no WM in San Fran.

Frankly Opinionated

Just saw a blurb on FOXNews.com that says the Pepper Sprayer has turned herself in.

The Old One

Police pepper sprayed people in a walmart in Kinston,NC. When a former police officer questioned their use of pepper spray, he was arrested. It was caught on video, the police where way out of line and lied to the Magistrate in their sworn statements. The man was a retired Army vet and is soon to be paid big time. Go to Kinston.com to see the video.

I think the lady who pepper-sprayed her fellow shoppers to get first dibs on a sale priced video game should be held up as a model of uber-conservative Ayn Randian thinking. A) She followed the highest moral imperative, her own self interest. B) Like John Galt, she imagined and created a new paradigm: shop ’til you drop, or until someone drops you. C) She reminds us of that bedrock conservative principle, unstated but implicit in all human interactions, “Might makes right”. Way to go Lady!

Jesus, another day, another pile to rub Joe’s nose in on the carpet.

Bubblehead Ray

Gee Joe, sounds much more like a “It’s all about ME and fuck the rest of you” OWS tard to me.

Joe

“Gee Joe, sounds much more like a ‘It’s all about ME and fuck the rest of you'”. Ayn Rand (and much of conservatism) in a nutshell.

UpNorth

Nice job trying to parse Ray’s comment to fit your own fucked-up world view, Joey boy.
And, your guy in the White House lives by that mantra.
