Reality’s a bummer, ain’t it?
Isnt that a shame. These turds got a dose of the real world.
His belongings weren’t stolen or ‘taken over’ … they were redistributed. Tha’s what they’re after in the first place, I thought? Losers!
His honesty was refreshing. He doesn’t look like a hippie yet. I hope he has learned some lessons and heads off in a positive direction. He could start by shaving off that silly goatee.
When keeping it real goes wrong. Was he a little pollyanish to begin with? Sure, but he learned some valuable truths about human nature. I have been saying since the first reports of troubles at OWS that it would be a great doctorate thesis in sociology to study what is happening in very short order at the occupy movements. Human nature took hold very fast and things degenerated quicker than I thought would happen, even though I knew it was going to happen.
All the money collected and basically taken, from groups within the occupy encampments by those “in charge” without giving anything back makes them just like the ones they’re protesting.
OT…it makes them just like THEIR PERCEPTION of the guys they’re protesting. In reality, the guys they protest against provide goods and services.
That’s what happens…you get the “normal” homeless, the drunken bums, the criminals, and always- the nuts.
I wonder how pissed he will be when he finds how some of the leaders are living, especially the leaders who got their hands on all that dough?

@3. Precisely. Redistribution of wealth and community property is a wonderful concept in the abstract. As soon as it’s MY stuff that is affected, well, now, that’s a horse of a different color. That’s just not right….Welcome to reality. By the way, am I the only one who was thinking that the the guy with 5 lbs. of metal hanging from his head looks like a certain douchenozzle from Jersey?
You realize that this is exactly what you can expect if you get what you want. Of course these jackasses are too stupid to realize this. The good news is that probably a few people will see the light and stumble out conservative.

The sad part is that you have some really good people down there getting played. They will give you the shirt off their back to help you out. That guy would probably had no problem sharing his tent with someone, he was just pissed that someone took it. Hopefully some of these people will walk away and see the line of bullshit they are being sold by the “intellegencia”. They are the foot soldiers that will be put in jail, maced, and when it comes time given shovels and told to get to work. Its almost to the point where I am tired of calling them useful idiots. The people controlling the money aren’t going to jail the guys from the lower camps are the ones going to jail. I almost beyond laughing at them.
