Jesse MacBeth Stolen Valor Tournament Day 3: Revenge of the Soup? Or No Soup for You!
Vote after the jump…
Ballduster takes Day 2 as well, by a 53/47 margin. Now, even though he has taken both days, it is still excruciatingly close. Seriously, like, at one point yesterday afternoon they were tie overall. Who has the staying power, and who will fold like a shoe-cleaner huffing General in the CIA?
It is instructive perhaps to see where they have come from:

Hang on Soupy, Soupy Hang on
66 to 33 Soupy is out in front!
My votes are going to ballduster for the simple reason I think Soupy is mental. Ballduster knew what he was doing was wrong, and apparently delighted in it anyway. *shrug* My two cents.

They never said that Soup was on shoe cleaner when he went into Benning, just that he had huffed cleaner in the past.
I’m struggling here … having second thoughts on motivations … alas …
On the other hand, clearly both are head cases from an alternate reality …
McSoulpatch has got the bling, but Soup’s a supernova … oh, yeah. Supernova outshines bling all day long.
Soup! Soup! Soup! RAH!
“My votes are going to ballduster for the simple reason I think Soupy is mental.”
Same. Soupy is a mental cripple. Ballduster has no excuse.
Commander of the British Empire? Really?
Soup is a it more ridiculous with the ribbons, but Ballduster seriously wore a soul patch with an officer’s mess dress uniform. Hands down win.
I am glad to see duster of balls having a strong early showing.
With Veteran’s Day quickly approaching I had a question about wearing service uniforms.
First let me say that I have not been in the Armed Forces nor have I ever claimed to be. With that said, my grandfather gave me, before he passed away, his Enlisted Service Dress Whites and Blues. In the past I have worn them on Memorial and Veteran’s Day in honor of his service and to remember him. Yes in college it was a great Halloween outfit. I have been questioned about it from some former swabbies but when I tell them they were my grandfather’s they have been okay with it.
I have not worn them in the last 5 or so years and would like to start again. With more and more stories of stolen valor and people getting caught lying I did not want to become one of them. When I did get questioned I never claimed they were mine.
Could I get some opinions on this, I hate that they have been stuck in my closet. I do feel that my grandpa gave them to me because he knew I would not dishonor them.
I think someone is rigging the votes
Not much change in the percentages. When can we add Jonathon Sharkey to this?
Jeff, I say doan wear ’em, but definitely get them out of the closet. A nice torso mannequin to mount the uniform with some photos of your veteran grandfather, then put it up in a nice place in the house. We do that with my uncle’s Korean War uniform.
And the gap closes. Now 54/46 Ballduster.
I go back and forth on this, but what it boils down to for me is this: every time I see the pics of Soupy, I laugh. Every time.
50-50….can’t stand the suspense! Its got to be the duster of balls. Not satisfied with being an ordinary poser, he went large.
Ball Duster!
I carry on listening to the rumor lecture about getting free online grant applications so I have been looking around for the finest site to get one. Could you advise me please, where could i get some?
