Weinergate
I am not even going to try and explain this shit. Ace of Spades is running wild with this story and I am not going to try and catch up with them. Most of you have probably been reading them anyways in regards to this story.
I am sitting on something that I am not yet willing to throw out there yet in regards to this and I am going to wait a day to see if some things pan out. Whatever happens, this story has legs.
Category: Congress sucks
hooah!
Get ’em, Dan.
This guy is toast. You know he’s in big trouble when he starts asking the press to “respect his family’s privacy”.
Anyone wanna bet how soon until he checks into rehab?
Well, at least the Left has a nice “sex” scandal to rally around, so that will keep them busy for a few days.
“Anyone wanna bet how soon until he checks into rehab?”
Ahahahaa!!!! Good one AW1
Whatever happens, this story has legs.
ROFLMAO
Weinergate – with legs?
Sorry Dan… this story just demands even my poor effort at a double entendre.
I don’t often tweet, but when I do, I tweet pictures of my erect penis.
Weiner the weenie. Woody or woody not twitter his…um, uh…
#2 … Weiner isn’t “Toast”. He’s a D. Cheating on your wife is a resume enhancement for these people. They are going to circle the wagons and then write op-eds about how lying is the new “norm” and cheating is actually not cheating.
Isn’t it all about the meaning of “Cheating”? Like, “I did not cheat with that woman.”.
I just read on Fox that they he is claiming it was a hacker on his twitter account…..
I don’t particularly care for Weiner as a person or Congressman, but I think this was in fact a hacker on this one. He’s married to a smokeshow, and just doesn’t strike me as a take a chance sort of guy.
I suspect that they are jumping on Weiner with both feet over this because the guy is an absolute dickhead. He’s a loud mouthed, pushy progressive who, when losing the argument, merely yells louder. He’s this terms Alan Grayson only more irritating. Hack or not, it’s fun seeing him on the spit for at least a little while. His wife is a real cutie that used to work for Hillary so the real test is whether he shows up for his next committee meeting with a black eye.
RobD, well, if it was a hacker hacking a Congresscritter’s online account then that is a big deal and he should ask the FBI to step in.
I dunno, TSO. Rep. Weiner sure is not acting like a person who had their Twitter account hacked: Update: Number One “Suspect” In Hacking Says No Police Have Contacted Him In “Hacking” Case
=====
Now throughout this saga, Weiner has refused to say if police had been contacted. In fact, Colby Hall’s piece even mentions this. So does Ben Smith’s at Politico’s. So does the Washington Post piece, if I recall correctly.
Weiner, for reasons unknown, refuses to say if he’s contacted the police or FBI.
So people continue reporting they don’t know if he’s called the police.
Calling the police would be the move of an innocent man who was hacked.
Not calling the police would be the move of a guilty man who was making up a bullshit story about a hack to cover the fact he’d actually hit the public tweet channel on his dic-pic when he meant to send a DM.
And we don’t know which it is.
Odd that Weiner won’t just say which, eh?
Well, he doesn’t have to say.
I spoke to the Accused on Twitter a half hour ago. Dan Wolfe himself. @patriotusa76, the man that Hall suggested was a possible suspect for the “hacker.”
I asked a simple question:
Have you been contacted by any law enforcement officers or agents whatsoever?
His answer:
No one. Nada. I keep saying bring it on. I have nothing to hide. Not my IP nothing to hide at all.
No one from law enforcement contacted the number one suspect in the hacking case of the decade? No one? No one at all?
can you really call the police if someone guesses your password on twitter? 911… hello.. I have an emergency. My twitter account was hacked.
911 operator: Sir, I’m sending over the police to your address to arrest you for a prank call.
can you really call the police if someone guesses your password on twitter?

The average person, probably not. But if a Congressman gets his/her account hacked, that could be a federal offense? Is a Congressman’s Twitter account government property?
Now, I don’t know much about computers and hacking, but if someone hacked into one of my online accounts, I would worry that they had hacked into my entire computer, not just a Twitter account. Is it even possible to simply hack into someone’s Twitter account without hacking into their computer?
I would guess that hacking into a Congressman’s computer would be a serious offense.
@Michael,
yep it is totaly possible to just hack into a twitter account, its an online service just like gmail or yahoo or facebook. It doesnt have anything to do with his computer.
@Spade, I have no idea if he did it or not, I didnt even know about the whole thing till I read about it on fox this morning (at the flight medic school right now kinda busy in the books lol). I have seen him go head to head on alot of shows and the dude dosnt impress me at all.
It can be quickly determined by an investigation whether or not it was hacked or not.
Right now, Washington is pretty much on vacation and most media outlets are running on their weekend skeleton staffs. Where this story stands on close of business Friday, after a few business days, will say a lot.
If it was a hack, the story changes and shifts to who the hacker was and, of course, whether or not he was involved with the Republican Party of a Tea Party group. Breitbart will probably get slammed, even he wasn’t involved in the hack. If it wasn’t, we will probably know by Friday and Weiner will probably be in deep(er) shit. Its no guarantee that he will resign if it turns out that he was the one who sent it. Chris Lee’s district was more conservative and less likely to put up with this type of bullshit. Weiner’s on the other hand probably doesn’t give much of a fuck. He can’t keep a lid on this story however.
