Obama’s ME Position(s)?

| May 19, 2011

Doesn’t much matter which politician is speaking, in general. If  I’m likely to be interested I ignore the talking heads and try to find a transcript. THEN I will look at what the pundits think about it if writing  a  post seems in order. After all, I’m old and lazy. I’ve  reinvented the wheel several time already.

So for an overview I offer Ed Morriessy at Hot Air.

The Arab street is disappointed some.

The Israelis are disappointed as well.

Word for the day: Feckless.

This post is almost pointless here, among our erudite readers save for one thing.  Sometimes rote learning actually works.

One thing I do is see which articles Drudge pairs together. With an article on the POTUS’s speech is one on the heavy outreach to secure the Dems’ Jewish campaign donors.

Follow that with a news report that the POTUS is speaking to AIPAC (speaking at AIPAC?) just before Netanyahu’s visit.

Some of the talking heads are calling the POTUS a neocon. Not seeing it.

So, Israel isn’t happy with having to live inside “indefensible” borders? Welcome to the world, according to Owebowma. Apparently, they didn’t give him enough money back in the day, the Pally’s did, so there you go. Simplified yes, but how else to explain the speech? Unless, the Wan wants Israel to disappear?

#6, Streetsweeper,

So your saying Obama’s Official Position on the MidEast is Rectal Defilade. Yes, I think that can be found in the Book of Political Yoga.

The POTUS’ position is absolutely clear….self preservation. This trumps all other considerations in all conditions. He is absolutely 100% consistent in this regard.

Moral relativism and not inability but the refusal to adhere to and discernible ability to honor any commitment not in his personal self-interest is his compass that guides all actions.
