“Good morning, sir” scares stickboy professor
Laura sent us a link today that she found on her Facebook page this morning. For those of you who can’t read the link it says;

I think it’s hilarious. I think back to some of my professors who were threatened by my particular perspective and I find it totally believable. It’s been repeated on some of the forums, but I see a discussion of it was pulled from Free Republic.

Obviously, unless they can be re-educated as sensitive liberals, any former member of the military should be banned from higher education.
Some of the people who have joined the group are asking him for the full story. He made his personal fb profile public and one person asked him about some of his posts there, and he’s getting all defensive. It may not be as black and white as he makes it sound. Might want to read up on it over there…
Oh, and someone needs to take that Eric Reuter guy to the woodshed. What a prick….
I was there and read up a little. I even tried to maybe give a bit of insight, but it went over most people’s heads.
There is a little more to this. I acctually think there has been some back and forth between the prof and this guy. There are some accusations of the professor grading him harshy due to his opinions. He may or may not have entered into discussions with all the bearing he should have.
I have had profs adjust their grading on opinions of a student. I have received grades, because I disagreed with a prof’s opinions or we just didn’t get along.
Hopefully, more comes out about this.
Well, the “you haven’t worn the uniform, so you don’t have a valid opinion” doesn’t help forward the discussion…or help get to the truth of the particular situation…
Nobody gets kicked out of a class (and then starts a GOD BLESS/SEMPER FI/OORAH/WHY DO YOU HATE AMERICA? facebbok group) over saying “good morning sir” to a teacher, that’s ridiculous. I’ll withhold judgement until the actual story comes out here.
Nevermind. Even a cursory glance at this guys facebook group reveals he’s a complete tool.

I am trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but getting the whole story is kinda hard. It seems that it could simply be a case of dick prof vs dick marine.
After reading this guy’s page, I agree with NSOM. This guy’s a fucking tool, and he’s either lying completely or minimizing his own actions and playing on stereotypes to garner sympathy. By his own admission he smacked one of his classmates, which is enough for me to justify tossing his ass out of class, if not the college altogether.
Also, he somehow spent 10 years in the Corps before he got bounced out for not picking up SSGT, and, if his ribbon stack is accurate, he never deployed, not even for a float. I don’t know how that’s even possible these days.
Yes, he’s a tool. Which is why I asked John to vet him. A fellow Marine who served with him has already gone on record that he’s a backstabbing liar. His story stinks to high heaven and is full of holes. I stepped up and offered to put my combined experience with both the military and academia to work for him. He failed to provide those of us who asked for it the additional information we needed to proceed responsibly. All he did was pop some smoke and then stand back and do nothing while the trolls came out of the woodwork and started attacking reputable, well respected members of the mil blog family and soldier’s angels network. Go read their comments; they’re vile, sexually degrading misogyny (something another fellow Marine pointed out was utterly unacceptable). If we support this guy without doing our due diligence, we’ll end up with egg on our faces and make it that much harder for those vets who truly are victims of discrimination. Here’s a copy/paste with what I’ve already gone on record with so you know where I’m coming from: “I am fiercely pro-mil; I am the grand daughter of a Doc who survived Guadal with his Marines and the daughter of a retired, inner city cop. I am a mama-bear when it comes to our troops. I’m not the bully here. Mr. Vasquez has some explaining to do. I worked for UC Davis for over 6 years. I had a short and sweet argument with a leftest prof in college over Iran Contra. After he made a bunch of remarks about El Salvidor I took him to task over his inaccurate views and outright lies. He sneeringly asked me how I knew better than he did and I replied that I had spent a few months down there in the timeframe he was spouting his crap from several thousand miles away and saw it firsthand. Shut his ass up in a hurry. To his credit he gave me a B in his class.
Yeah, ummm… I wash my hands of this guy. I just got a heads up from one of the Marines that had been thoughtful enough to send me a message apologizing for the personal attacks dealt out… advising me that the guy has censored and sanitized his page. Deleted pretty much every thread and comment that didn’t agree with him.
Guess he’s following the Yawn doctrine now.
His “followers” are just like Yonbots too.

The whole thread ended up in my inbox. He has cleansed his site of the ‘sewage’ and ‘spew.’ After one of his shills told me to ‘shut the fuck up and go give your husband a blow job,’ I decided he didn’t want help as much as he wanted an internet posse. He claims that people sent him private messages attacking his family, and that he had to delete a whole bunch of people over it. I doubt it. However, for laughs and giggles, let us say it did happen. He wasted no time defending the people he cared about, but not the people who were trying to help him.
IOW, an attention whore.
One last thing: The ‘you haven’t served so you can’t speak’ group just dissed a Gold Star mother. The two women…Amy and Lorraine. I think all the civilians who ‘haven’t worn the uniform and have not served’ should melt away and disappear based on that alone. Let them dig themselves out of this one.
The only explanation he is providing now for being kicked out of class is something about a paper he and the professor had a dispute over. He completely leaves out the part about “going DI” on other students in class for sleeping,etc… I mean, how much of an asshole do you have to be to get kicked out of your church by the parish priest????/
