Don’t worry, I am a musician.

| March 20, 2011

You know, I have to ask what makes people think that they can be subject experts something completely unrelated. Like take the following below.

Let’s attend the Austin rally for the Int’l Day of Action/Million Musician March

This is the event we discussed at the last Meetup. It’s the annual event led by Austin musicians spotlighting the terrible financial and human costs of the ongoing wars. Event at State Capitol 12pm to 3pm, parade through downtown from 3pm – 4pm
Sponsored by Instruments for Peace

Contact: Richard Bowden

Except that the numbers were much lower then their name suggested. Oh and the Under the Hood/IVAW regulars were there. They also seemed to be in smaller numbers compared to their protests in July at Fort Hood.

Isn’t another word for “Instrument”, a “Tool”?

DaveO

At last, consistency.

Let’s see where all the hypocrites are lounging…

justplainjason

Maybe it was my public school education, but it didn’t look like quite a million were there.

Country Singer

As a musician, let me note that: A) I was not there and B) Austin is full of liberal freaks. There’s a reason these guys are in Austin: They’d get beat down in Nashville…

What anti-war protest isn’t complete without anyone wearing an “Old Geezers That Sit on Their Hands” t shirt?

Miss Ladybug

Maybe they were all worn out from SXSW last week?

Cindy Thomas Michael Kern and Hart Viges are in that second photo. Kern is behind Thomas with that stupid human tattoo.

B Woodman

Top picture.
It appears that all the ersatz “musicians” were playing “Sounds of Silence” on the air hand.

Old Trooper

What’s with the black shirt and Palestinian scarf thingy? Do they think it makes thm look really radical or something? Is that the new wardrobe of the smelly hippy protester? Kind of like the tie-dyed shirt of the late 60’s?

I’ve seen more people lined up at Old Country Buffet than what they had marching with them.

Junior AG

Q-What do you call an Austin musician without a girlfriend?
A-Homeless.

“What’s with the black shirt and Palestinian scarf thingy?”
A slactivist fasion statement by folks who have no idea what living under Fatah or Hamas would entail…

jerry920

Why do all these liberal dunces have to adorn themselves in the kafeyah?

Marooned in Marin

Austin, TX – the self-delusion capital of the world.

Junior AG

Psst, jerry920, read the last sentence of post #10 regarding the kafeya.

Ranger Forever

Please tell me there are not that many jack asses out there that believe this bullshit! Come on are Americans that fucking lame brained that they will believe the lies and crap festering from the mouths of these pot smoking whores, and non-deodorant using homos? If so then this country is in deep trouble.

Thor

Yep, Austin is full of Liberal idiots. It’s too bad that Texans couldn’t have restricted the number of Liberal morons moving in from the North, Northeast, & Californication … Not too many Native Texans would have participated in that lunacy. (I’m musician along with being a Native Texan)

I love Texas!

These antiwar assholes need to grow some balls, sprout a cock, and actually go to a fucking war like Iraq or Afghanistan. I met some of those IVAW guys and the ones I met never set foot in Iraq so how in the hell can they be “Iraq Veterans Against the War” in the first place? Next they will write “Libya Veterans Against the War” and claimed they fire cruise missiles from the ship… They are a bunch of pathetic dishonoring veterans. One of the IVAW guys I met actually told me that he really didnt like IVAW because how they seemed to be branching out to protest against Israel, and supported Palestine. LOL Christ they don’t even like each other Hhahahahahaahahaha
