Looking for a fight in the new climate of civility
Old Trooper sends us a link to an article in the Columbus Dispatch which describes how police responded to a shoving match in a restaurant where GOP State Senators were eating between the restaurant staff and SEIU union thugs;
LaRose said it didn’t take special intelligence training to notice that while the lawmakers were eating, a woman walked past the window several times, poked her head in the door and got on her cell phone.
“It was planned,” LaRose said. “They gathered as a group and waited until they had about 10 people before they caused a disturbance.”
When the group burst into the restaurant, the woman, Monica Moran, deputy director of public affairs for SEIU District 1199, raised her hands in the air, yelled “Can I have your attention?” and then shouted “something nasty,” LaRose said. Soon after, the rest of the group of men and women joined in with a chant.
“They stormed through my dining room,” said George Stefanidis, owner of the Easy Street Cafe. “I told them they had to leave, and they wouldn’t.”
Stefanidis said he called 911 when the protesters refused to leave.
So the police intervened, but no arrests were made.
So, if you can’t defeat an opponent with your brains, or the lack of brains, resort to thuggery and obnoxious behavior, because no one is allowed to have a personal life as long as you’re disgruntled. I’m sure the other patrons and the restaurant staff who were not Senators, or had a dog in the fight, enjoyed having their evening disrupted by these thuggish brutes.

Were you to say this behaviour is first-level terrorism, I’d agree with you. But on police intervention I say nay. They’d be all over the conservatives faster than the speed of lint. Because all conservatives, especially former military, combat vets, and their supporters are just naturally waiting to bust heads in a near-beer-sodden putsch.
One thing to consider about police: there’s lots of work and promotion opportunities in totalitarian states, but not so much in free societies. Union goonery is their ticket to the gravy train.
Speaking as a retired cop with 25 years in the now Peoples Rep. of Calif. these asswipes would have had some curbside justice rained down on there collective noggins with a stop at the ER enroute to the Crossbar Hotel. We never had a union and wanted no part of them and could’nt believe that cops in the north and east would be beholden to that. occasionaly some rep. from SEIU or AFL would come around talking their BS and generally found themselves run around the block with a PR24 propping open their sphincter muscle. We negotiated our salaries, benefits ourselves and voluntarily paid into a legal defense fund if we chose. No dues paid to some unknown heirarchy…I’ll also add that a hell of lot of us were RVN combat vets and did’nt suffer fools, scumbags, or lowlifes lightly.

Here’s what I’ll say on the subject, if you court the mob (as the Unions have) this is what you get. No longer is the Individual expected to be responsible for their own rational decisions, no its perfectly acceptable to play games when we’ve passed the bill off to the next generation for so long WE CAN’T PASS IT OFF ANYMORE.
We need honest and open debates (which I THOUGHT we’d had after Rep Giffords). As a citizen, I demand this: NO MORE BREAD AND CIRCUSES. I am willing to deal with hard choices, and pay the price, if it will once and for all SOLVE this reckless trend that has been going since FDR, but by God, I DEMAND this: NO MORE GAMES. No more running away from the facts. COLD HARD TRUTH. If you can not give us that then by rights we should have the right to shut s**t down till things are FIXED
The thing I’m getting at with my previous statement is this: The union thugs and the leftist smelly hippies have taken what Obama said during the campaign to heart, when he said “get in their faces”, which is an Alinsky tactic from Obama’s days as a community organizer trained by the communist. They have gone to the houses of some republican lawmakers in Wisconsin, to protest, just as they did to several AIG executive’s homes in 2009. They followed Jindal supporters to a fundraiser at a restaurant in New Orleans last year and actually attacked and injured a Jindal staffer and her boyfriend when they were leaving the event.
One of these times, they are going to mess with the wrong person/people and they aren’t going to like the outcome. People are getting tired of this shit and they aren’t going to take it anymore. Conservatives are tagged as racists and haters, etc., yet it’s the left that engages in confrontation, however, our the restraint that we have exercised up to this point is getting fragile and will end if this type of thing keeps up. I believe that that there are some from the left that actually want a physical confrontation to happen so they can play the victim card. It won’t work, since there is so much antagonism documented that most thinking people will see it for what it will be, a ploy.

It is not about getting a community organized and working well, it is about organizing mobs of angry people to agitate, protest and harass others into getting what they want. Obama has been doing this his entire political life. And now this is the logical result of having a “community organizer” and all his radical friends in the highest positions of power in the nation. I actually had some prick have the audacity to comment on my blog denigrating the behavior of the TEA Party protesters and praising the Wisconsin protesters. The fact that in 2+ years of TEA Party protests, they couldn’t find even one instance of violence, so they had to make up some bullshit (recall the lies they told about the protesters when the Congressional Black Caucus walked through their protest) says it all about the civil behavior of the TEA Party. Compare that to behavior of the Left whenever they protest, from their post-Prop 8 hissy fit (where they harassed anyone who voted for it or supported it, stalked business owners and Mormon churches, even putting their personal info on websites for people to access) to the AIG harassment (protesting and harassing them and their families at their homes) to now these violent and vulgar protests in Wisconsin and Indiana. Until recently, I couldn’t fathom how people could have gotten to the point of wanting to kill their fellow citizens. I just could not understand how they couldn’t reach some kind of agreement, some kind of compromise. What could possibly have gotten people so energized to want to go to war? Now I understand on a small level. I look at this thuggery from the Left. I look at the MF-ing media conspiring to smear Republicans and Conservatives and to lie in favor of Democrats and liberals. I find it interesting that after each Tea Party Rally, there is little if any litter or property damage. The left demonstrates and there is trash everywhere. In Madison, I think they did $7 million in damage. Why doesn’t someone send them a bill. Free speech does not equal no cost for clean up.

Given what I’ve seen and heard of the Tea Baggers on the steps of the Capitol (yeah, I’m one of those who continue to protest the Walker union-busting budget), I’m pretty sure you’d prefer to trade clever, glib insults with each other and congratulate yourselves on your victory.
Oh, you mean these “teabaggers”, the ones who dutifully clean up after the mess you and your cohorts rudely leave after your “protests”? Funny, there is never a mess after any TEA Party protest anywhere in the nation, yet everywhere you people go, you leave the place littered with garbage. Quite a group of comrades you have there, desecrating war memorials and leaving the place a mess.

Not only do TEA Parties clean up after themselves, they also clean up after the union scum protests.
