A plug for our sponsors
You probably noticed the ad in the sidebar for MyServicePride. Well, they emailed me yesterday and said that you guys have bought more of their stuff than any of the other other blogs on which they tested. Thanks for clicking the ads. They’ve decided to continue advertising frequently because of your patronage.
Yeah, I bought a mug a few weeks back, too;
I have the license plate, too, since West Virginia only gives us one.
The mug I’d carried for ten years broke about ten years back (it was subdued E-7 rank on woodland camo) and my son bought me an Air Force mug when he went to basic that I’d been using since. I finally found a suitable replacement for the old one. It’s nice to have my morning coffee from my DD214.
But, anyway thanks for reading and clicking the ads.

That’s pretty cool!
I looked at this I agree that they are neat look but there are two things:
1. It seems like something you get after you finish, not while in the military. I would have to update it in two years when I add more stuff. A 2nd OSR, 2nd Good Conduct Medal, and ether a ARCOM or AAM.
2. I have not mastered the art of making/drinking coffee. I ether burn it, myself or a combination of both.
Matt’s stuff is uber impressive I think. I may have to get the license myself.
Er, uh… Couldn’t manage a pix of just the coffee mug minus the OTHER mug.
Hey, at least it wasn’t a picutre of ME doing what I did to the mug before he drank out of it.
#4 – Pons! I’m glad you went first, lol! On the serious side though, I like that new cup your holding in your grubby mitt, Jonn. Enjoy!
#2- Spork! Uh, the stores do sell coffeemaker’s that will do the job for you….realizing it’d do you no good out in the field of course!
Sporkmaster,
The secret to good coffee is simple: put as little effort as possible into it.
I picked up some six-month out of date coffee at Walgreen’s a while back, wish I’d have bought all of it but I only got two cans. Every morning I put a filter in the basket, guesstimate the amount of coffee I pour into it straight from the can, and fill the coffee maker with water. When it is done I pour it in a cup and let it cool slightly. Measuring spoons, cream, sugar, and other items only complicate the process.
I just went to the site and built my rack but I have much the same dilemma. Maybe I’ll just take the liberty of guessing what else I’ll earn in the next eleven years. It seems to be all the rage here recently, so elaborating my rack a little shouldn’t hurt…

That is why I drink Monsters and Cokes because of the randomness of the day.
NHSparky, etal.
I’ve spent time with Jonn. I’m pretty sure he felt he was enhancing the ad with his visage. Maybe someone with bigger cajones than I can explain his error?
GOD YOU’RE SEXY
Do you prefer this picture, pons?
One of my troops posted this on Facebook from 1992. It was my CP and you can bet the picture cost him some push ups.
Sorry Jonn. I think we were suggesting that you might help sell more mugs without pix like this.
BTW, what is this push-up thing? OTOH, Parachute Cutie #10 has a differing perspective it seems? I don’t see it myself, but I don’t know Parachute Cutie.
I love my mug, recommended to my daughter and son in law who’re currently in the Air Force.
Oh..the secret to good coffee…don’t wash your pot too often.
I’m getting one on payday. Maybe even a vinyl decal for the car, since NH requires both front and back plates.
GA Knight–agree on the not washing the pot. Of course, when my aunt visited me a few months ago, for some reason she felt the need to wash it, despite the fact she doesn’t drink coffee. Needless to say, I’m just now getting a good layer back on the pot.
Oh, and finally, actually I’m grateful Jonn hid most of his mug behind the coffee mug. Not the first thing I’D want to see in the morning…(G)
I think it’s damn shame he hid behind the mug. If Jonn and I were in the military and I was a dude I’d TOTALLY TELL. He’s just so darn HOT!
I’m disappointed the pinky isn’t up. 🙁
Could you get them to send you a bigger mug next time? This one shows an awful lot of your mug behind the mug.
Is that a grandfather clock lurking in the background??
