Canadian families plagued by fake casualty calls
The Montreal Gazette reports that some soldiers’ families are receiving phone calls falsely informing them of their soldiers’ death;
The Department of National Defence said the prank is not something it has ever dealt with before.
“We are not aware of other similar incidents,” spokesman Major Martell Thompson said.
He said the Forces are baffled at someone showing so little respect for the families of soldiers fighting in Afghanistan.
“It’s pretty low. I can think of a lot of things one can do to voice their discontent with the mission and this would not have made my list of what people would do,” he said. “This does not fit into what a normal human being would do to another.”
I hope they catch the little weasel and cut his nuts off. If he has any.

One thing that happened to my wife while I was deployed was that some guy wore his JROTC/Class As and was going around my wife’s parents neighborhood trying get donations for his Church. But since I was deployed at the time, my wife say a guy coming to the door in Uniform she was expecting the worst.
When she found out what he was doing she ripped his head off and a retired Air Force Colonel that overheard my wife yelling form a few houses down also yelled at him for what he was doing.
So to imagine that people are doing this intentionally is horrible.
There is a special place in hell for people who do these sorts of things.
Nothing new guys. This was done by hippies during the Vietnam War. They also called families of soldiers killed and told them “Serves him right….” and a bunch of other foul stuff. Probably cowards that left the US to the welcoming arms of the Canadians. They will rot in Hell if there is any justice.
