A fish doesn’t know he’s wet
By now, you’ve probably all seen this video from the John McCain campaign that claims the media is all a-twitter about Obama;
So James Taranto on WSJ’s Best of the Web provides a transcript of the discussion about this video and the media’s over the top treatment of Obama on CNN with Wolf Blitzer moderating…the discussion gets interupted for breaking news.
CNN interrupts a discussion of whether the media are in the tank for Obama for a news bulletin that Obama’s plane has landed safely–a dog-bites-man story if ever there was one.
Come to think of it, it’s even less noteworthy than a dog-bites-man story. Obama’s plane landing safely is literally an everyday occurrence. If a dog bit him, that would newsworthy–especially if it were the toothless watchdog that answers to the name of MSM.

When the now departed McCain economic advisor Phil Gramm called Americans “WHINERS” it appears he was referring to Mac and his campaign staff.
“CNN interrupts a discussion of whether the media are in the tank for Obama for a news bulletin that Obama’s plane has landed safely–a dog-bites-man story if ever there was one.”
You’ve got to be kidding me. That’s hilarious!
AT LAST — We can finally do away with the electoral college, hanging chads, and contested elections. A simple process can just replace it all — “Media Elected Presidents”. Think of the enormous amounts of money that could be saved…. Without being able to “Buy a candidate”, Corporate America will have more money to pay shareholders. Cleaner elections, less corruption. Tingles in legs are the new indicators of worthiness and electability.
Why should Americans be inconvenienced in thinking about such unimportant matters in the first place. Instead of wasting all that time thinking about Politics (such a nasty profession in the first place), we could get more actively involved in reality shows, or the insulting of talented individuals. We can call in and determine who deserves to live or dies, now “that’s entertainment”.
In fact, since we wouldn’t be involved in that “presidential power” thing maybe the media would spare us and not force us to watch their love fests anymore. It seems unwholesome and dirty to me, almost X rated…. Something like that should be done in privacy behind closed doors.
