Grim discovery on the south side: a man lying on the road, shot multiple times
The man was shot after he tried stabbing another man, according to police.

SAN ANTONIO — A driver called 911 early Sunday morning reporting a man lying in a pool of blood on a south-side road, according to San Antonio Police.Officers were called out to the intersection of E. Franciscan and Probandt St. just after 5:00 a.m. on Sunday and found the victim who they said had been shot twice.
Investigators said officers couldn’t find a crime scene, expanded their search of the area, and located where the shooting happened off the 400 blk. of W. Glenn Ave.
According to police, the man who lives at the home got into an argument with another man.
The homeowner told officers during the heated argument, the other man allegedly tried to stab him, and the victim got a gun and fired off two shots.
The suspect was hit twice and stumbled off down the street, police said.

A suspect in a home invasion at a West Chester apartment complex Sunday was shot by the homeowner, according to a township spokesperson. The suspect is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
(This story has been updated to add new information.)A suspect in a West Chester Township home invasion is dead after he was shot by the homeowner Sunday, according to the township.
In a news release issued around 5 a.m., West Chester spokesperson Barb Wilson said police were sent to a condominium complex at 7560 Shawnee Lane for a shooting.
The homeowner told police he heard noises on his balcony and found a male intruder in his home, who he then shot, Wilson said.
The suspect sustained life-threatening injuries and has since died at the hospital, Wilson said Sunday afternoon, adding that the homeowner is cooperating with police.

Suspect dead, officer stabbed at Richland County restaurant

SHELBY, Ohio (WCMH) — A Richland County police officer was stabbed and a suspect killed after a confrontation at a Shelby fast food restaurant late Saturday night.According to the Shelby Police Department, officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant at an Arby’s restaurant on Mansfield Avenue at approximately 11:18 p.m.
When a Shelby police sergeant made contact with the suspect, Tyler Jacobs, Jacobs stabbed the officer in the neck with a knife. The officer managed to get away from Jacobs, at which point, Jacobs, still holding the knife, began moving toward the officer, police said, which is when the officer pulled his gun and shot Jacobs.
A second officer at the scene rendered medical aid to both Jacobs and the sergeant until medics arrived. Both men were taken to the hospital, where Jacobs was pronounced dead. The officer is listed in a stable condition.

The Texas story is interesting in that there was a WOT instead of a WRT. Too bad the story doesn’t say how far apart the stabby/shooty and the wounded being found, are from each other.
