Matthis and the Revolutionary Communist Party

| October 4, 2010

Matthis showed up on the inter-tubes again last week when he signed World Can’t Wait’s “Crimes are crimes” petition. At least he’s stripped most of the deceit out of his bio.

Yeah, well, ya know how your mom always told you that you’re judged by the company you keep? Carl Dix, the former head of the Revolutionary Communist Party (distinguished from the regular old Communist Party by their Revolutionary aims). Now you can call me a “red-baiter”, but since the dude calls himself a communist, i don’t know how I’m baiting any-damn-body.

I wrote about Dix and his connections to IVAW over a year ago. He was the national leader of the RCP a few years back, now he’s just a spokesman.

So what does the RCP believe? This is from the RCP, USA Constitution – which, as you can imagine, is very long and tedious;

The first stage of this movement [Communism] included three epic revolutions: the Paris Commune; the Soviet Revolution; and the Chinese Revolution, which included the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution as its high point. These revolutions effected unprecedented and amazing changes; their vision and accomplishments inspired people around the globe. But world imperialism remained dominant, and these were new and beginning efforts; despite heroic struggles, each in turn was finally defeated by the forces of reaction. In the wake of those defeats, these revolutions have been endlessly slandered, and the truth about them suppressed and distorted. In actual fact, these revolutions proved that a better world really is possible, and through these revolutions humanity has accumulated invaluable experience and a whole new point of departure.

Checkout the webpage of the Revolutionary Communist party of Charlottesville – Soviet Union imagery, lamentations over China straying from the teachings of bloodthirsty tyrant Mao Zedong, or whatever they’ve changed his name to today.

There’s a call to celebrate the anniversary of the October Revolution which brought the Soviet Union into being at the cost of millions of gallons of blood. If you refresh the page, the header banner changes to imagery of Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Marx along with some memorable passages from each.

That’s quite different from what Victor Agosto told us a few weeks ago – that communists learned their lessons from China and the Soviet Union (and North Korea?) and that they won’t make the same mistakes next time. It looks to me that they don’t even realize that the Soviet Union split up under the weight of it’s own ideology.

Of course, there were other lesser luminaries in the crowd who recorded their messages to the waiting masses like Cindy Shehan, Debra Sweet, David Swanson, Noam Chomsky and Ray McGovern.

Nonetheless, it’s good to see Matthis keeping such good company over there at World Can’t Wait and the Veterans For Peace. Oh, by the way, he couldn’t make it to Washington, DC this past week end (that four hour bus ride was just too much for him) so he sent this message to his minions on Facebook;

If anyone’s going to the ‘democrats can end the wars’ rally this weekend in D.C., please burn a flag! And roll a burning trashcan into the oval office, if ya get the chance!

Peace out, ma brotha, peace out.

OMG! An internet petition?!

Well, the wars will be over lunch.

Oh, this dreary Monday needed humor, and a self-professed communist railing against oppression provided just that.

It is interesting to see the resurgence of socialism and communism ideologies as we mark the 20th Anniversaries of its fall, and the reunification of Germany.

It is curious that as Europe rejects the socialists in power, the US put the “progressives” in power.

And in my personal life, I’ve been doing some re-organization, going through papers I haven’t seen in decades. I found a Marxist paper handed to me in Germany after the Fall of the Wall. It bemoaned the tens of thousands of East Germans who had abandoned the DDR at their first chance to do so without getting killed.

And it seems odd to me that so few are willing to say the word “Communist” even when discussing those that are self-described communists, let alone those that hide behind other labels, but preach the ideology.

And then there was the “One Nation” rally, which sported Socialist banners and was supported and sponsored with equal vigor by multiple Socialist Parties, multiple Unions, multiple organs of the DNC, and the CommunistPartyUSA, as well as IVAW, Code Stink, VFP, and various other “anti-war” organizations.

And seeing the number of Che shirts selling to the youth is bewildering.

Are History Classes so devoid of facts that in less than a generation the failed communist ideology can return? Or is it that so few recognize the ideology when given a different name, even with the same symbols/slogans?

Still, the alliance between Islamists & Communists is undeniable (NoRK/Iran) (Code Stink/AQI) even as it on surface appears ideologically impossible.

Venting Complete for now.
Keep up the good work, Jonn!

Video seems harmless enough. Two observations: The poster to start the video spelled Matthis’ name wrong and doesn’t Elaine Brower head up World Can’t Wait and doesn’t she also control (pay for) Matthis’s website? Overall Matthis looks healthier (he’s put some weight back on) and that wild look in his eyes (Ft. Hood video) is gone. Whomever is feeding him and looking after him – Thank You.

“Are History Classes so devoid of facts that in less than a generation the failed communist ideology can return? Or is it that so few recognize the ideology when given a different name, even with the same symbols/slogans”? Well, part of the problem may be that the NEA was knee deep in organizing this sham, and busing in “participants”. They have a vested interest in not teaching history fully. After all, can’t have members, or parents of students, or students questioning the teachings approved by the NEA/dems, can we?

“doesn’t Elaine Brower head up World Can’t Wait”

She’s on the “steering committee” whatever that means. She also thinks her son is an expert at fighting terrorism since he served in Iraq. The rest of us are still war criminals though.

Isn’t it amazing how the “oppressed” wouldn’t be so “oppressed” if they just got off their dead asses and got a JOB, maybe?

Dr. Chiroux, your empathy and compassion only further prove that you are a more-than-decent human being.

WOTN Editor,

The educational system as a whole is seriously lacking in fundamentals. One needs only to read the language and poor grammar utilized by today’s youth on every social network to see that.

History, science, basic math, English- all are simply placed in front of a child, with actual teaching occuring sporadically and inefficiently. The things they include in the history books are so biased as to be criminal- and I say that as a person largely of Indigenous descent bewildered at the victimization and glossing over of reality in relation to those before me.

It’s horrendous on the whole.

Old Trooper

Weren’t those commercials with all the “stars” in them done by WCW, back just before the Iraq campaign started? Now we know that the commie mantra is still alive and well in hollyweird.

Spockgirl

OK, so I started to read the RCP, USA Constitution but had to stop. A couple years ago I had found Mao’s little red book at an antique store and couldn’t resist buying it. In reading both, I never guffawed so much in my life. People still buy “into” that shit? (pardon my language)

NHSparky: Thanks for saying what I couldn’t.

Further to what ROS said, I think before the three “R”s (reading, ‘riting, ‘rithmetics) and history, a new subject is going to have to be taught much earlier, perhaps in pre-school, called “common sense”, something that, sadly, seems to be lacking in the younger generation.

I can’t believe I actually said all this. Pretty darn vocal for me.

Robert Chiroux

ROS, thank you for the comment; it is accepted graciously. Please don’t misunderstand. My son attacked me on April 23, 2009; I was given no warning and rebuting his charges would require opening his “sealed”, thick juvenile record and he knows this. What he did was an agregious violation of the very constitution he claims to defend and leaves him with a vacuous moral foundation from which all he says and does ring with the peal of a cracked bell. All this is very hard on my heart and he knows that too. But there are positive signs in this video, for a father. That is good enough.

WOTN Editor

ROS/Dr Chiroux, Thank you for your replies.

Dr Chiroux, I can only hope your wishes of reconciliation and well-being for your son are fulfilled.

As to the education system, we need to get people back into the positions to teach the US Constitution, US History, and the rest of the basics. Until true “critical thinking” replaces political correctness, indoctrination will continue. The decline of education begin in the 60’s with a concerted effort to influence the future through the youth. That future is here.

Ray McGovern, also known as Raymond McGovern likes to put his name to letters against the war. Here is one he put his name to in 2003.

The best part is about Iraq’s chemical weapons.
