Oh look at the Current Suspect.

| July 26, 2010

Yep the same guy, Bradley Manning that leaked the video about the 2007 firefight, is one of the main suspects in finding who leaked the new documents to the press.

The Wall Street Journal reported that military investigators are checking computers used by Manning to see if he is the source of the trove of documents released by WikiLeaks.

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell told Fox News the department wants to find out who originally leaked the information to “make sure there’s not any more coming.” He said it remains to be seen whether any action will be taken against those involved in the leak.

So not only has these additional documents have been leaked there is a possibility that more might be on the way. Great, this is getting better and better. Perhaps we should bring these back again.

ADDED: Sporkmaster

Seems that there is more info about him that is coming out.

Maybe, bring back breaking big rocks into little rocks at Leavenworth for these treasonous shite-birds.

Sandman

The new vesion of those old posters is the screen saver on every military computer these days. He saw them every time he turned around. I think a firing squad is what should be brought back.

giving the enemy secrets during war is a shooting offense. after this little f**k, maybe a few in the NYTs.

Sean

Mannings ass will be a Penis rack for USDB’s inmate population. But he deserves to be shot

whycantwealljustgetalong

They need to lock this guy in prison. Then throw away the prison.

What a tool. Left/liberal idiot… hope he packed his K-Y.

Manning knowingly and willfully gave information to a foreign contact in time of war with the aim of hurting the war effort and causing direct and indirect danger to U.S. and Allied troops. The death penalty for treason has never been removed as I understand it, and a good case can be made to for the charge and the penalty, IMO. The same would apply to any others knowingly and willfully providing classified documents and information to Wikileaks and other organizations.

Assange not only knowingly and willfully published classified materials, he and/or others involved with Wikileaks purposefully and with deliberation altered those documents so as to increase their effect and ability to undermine the war effort and to deliberately and willfully place U.S. and Allied troops — including troops from Australia where Assange is a citizen — in greater danger.

Assange and people like him who are willing to break both U.S. and other laws and lie (it is not like throwing a spitball and therefore a minor breach of the rules) to increase the effect of their actions and give direct and indirect aid and comfort to the enemy always are screaming about the Geneva Conventions, then perhaps they should be applied. Applied in full, which we choose not to do for humanitarian reasons. They, by their actions, fall under the provisions of those fighting out of uniform and as such are subject to capture, rigorous interrogation, and summary execution. Wonder if they are captured how well they would like to be subject to the full weight of the Geneva Conventions, or if they might decide that our failure to fully follow them isn’t such a bad thing.

Hyperbole? Not so much where Manning and any other leakers are concerned. While I would pay good money to see Assange (love Jimbo’s excellent and well-played Assflange, btw) facing the full weight and measure of the Geneva Conventions (and broadcasting the video of him being told what it means to him and his reaction), I fear that such will never happen. Damn.

B Woodman

I volunteer to be on the firing squad.
I’ll even pay my own way, and bring my own rifle and ammunition.

Old Trooper

That smirking little sonofabitch needs to have his ass kicked all the way to the firing squad!

Woodman, I’m with ya. I’ll bring a variety of calibers and loads for us to test drive. Let’s start at his toes and work our way up.

I noticed on the news they were trying to downplay this by saying that most of the documents were “secret” and not “top secret”. I don’t give a shit which classification they have, the little bastard released classified information and should be shot. I don’t care if the documents were toilet paper inventories; if it’s classified, it’s classified and you leave it at that. This little fuckstain thinks he’s doing something so clever, yet all he’s doing is selling out those that were supposed to be his brothers and sisters and potentially putting them in danger for his 15 minutes of fame. The little buttplug that owns wikileaks needs to take a dirt nap as well. Smarmy fucks.

*Sorry about the tirade, I’m a little crabby this morning and I have zero tolerance for traitors, period.

NHSparky

If ever there was a case for throwing someone in Supermax, solitary confinement, 23 hours and 50 minutes a day with no contact with anyone or anything, this assclown is IT.

defendUSA

Firing Squad? It wouldn’t be enough. WTF, anyway. As much as I would love some fame and fortune, no amount of money would make me give away the secrets or tactics of my Country.

Bradley Manning will get what’s coming to him. And may it be as slow, miserable and painful as is possible.

PintoNag

No, he WON’T get what he should, and that’s the major problem. Let me dust off my crystal ball and tell you how this will go: he’ll have a bullet-proof vest and a heavy guard now, wherever he goes. Streets will be cleared for blocks anytime he steps out of a building. He’ll be kept in solitary confinement, and exercised by himself. He’ll have all possible amenities; he’ll get a lawyer and an agent and write a best selling book that’ll be made into a movie; and his family will get the royalties. The government won’t dare execute him, because “the world is watching.” He may go to jail for the rest of his life, but I doubt it; and when he gets old and sick, WE’LL get to pay the little worm’s medical bills.
The ONLY thing we can hope is the little monster is truly unstable and hangs himself with a bedsheet.

BooRadley

PintoNag nailed it. He might not be in solitary all the time– and he might make a few new “friends”– but for the most part, I think she’s got it right.
Sadly.

Daniel

Congratulations Manning, you ruined you career and life to release the equivalent of secret spam messages.

About the only thing you accomplished in you high minded quest was to ensure that I will have to retake the secret document handling class numerous times this year to comply with Army standards.

I hope you enjoy those form letters of support from the anti-war crowd while rotting in jail.

Daniel

And the wingnuts have started the fundraising.

Lets just hope he gets a certain lawyer from Texas to represent him.
