At VFP, the Crazy comes full circle

| March 5, 2010

It’s being reported on the fringe of the Left that Veterans For Peace (around here known as Geezers for Sitting on Our Hands) have brought their special brand of crazy full circle by demanding a new investigation into 9-11;

Anti-war groups have long been regarded as deliberate gatekeepers to the 9/11 Truth (and anti-war) movement. But in 2009 VFP membership mushroomed with savvy new members who realized it wasn’t enough to protest the war if you didn’t protest the government lie that allowed it to happen. And most VFP members know the “Tonkin Resolution” was a deliberate lie – aka: “False Flag”.

By 2008, an international team of scientists had published volumes of conclusive evidence for “explosive demolition” of the Twin Towers and WTC-7. This hard evidence and admissions by the 9/11 commission that they were “set up to fail” moved VFP members and leadership to pass a resolution to press for a new 9/11 investigation during their 2009 annual meeting.

Here’s the kicker;

Veterans draw on our personal experiences to raise public awareness of the true costs and consequences of militarism and war – and to seek peaceful, effective alternatives.

As we’ve seen many times in our investigations of VFP members, most of them have only endured the difficulty and stress of a Basic trainee. Many have never seen combat, most have been booted out before their obligation ended for various malfeasance. So what “personal experiences” are they drawing from to question the 9-11 investigations? Their drug-induced hallucinations?

Stupid is as stupid does.

The beauty of conspiracy theories is that they require no evidence. The less the better. Whenever I roll into to one of these “thruthers” I ask them one question. “Do you truly believe that a Government so incompetent it can’t fire 8 AG’s without months of repercussion, could pull off the conspiracy of the century?” That’s about the time they start spewing spit and mumbling about Massad, CIA and black helicopters and unfolding their tin-foil hats.

Turn the TV set to the wall Truthers! Your Government is watching.

It is their non-drug regulated paranoia.

Jonn: Remind me sometime to tell you about this crazy Major who “I drove” out of the Army and into jumping out of the bushes one night in front of Coach K. It is a screamer. Poor guy wouldn’t take his medication either.

the VFP had to morph away from the anti-war movement because their marxist guy is in office, and they don’t want to offend him. by switching over to the truther movement, which is little more than an anti-bush/cheney, anti-israel movement, the VFP can stay true to their cause which is the internal destabilization of our country.

john, do you have the video of john grant and the vfp in venezuela with chavez?

Jonn, let’s start a new group called VFP(TSF). Or as it would be spelled out: Veterans For Peace(Through Superior Firepower). I believe alot of veterans would join the organization.

You know you’re a soldier (and old) when re-enactors and phony vets look at your deployment pictures in the f*cked up gear you got issued as CIF and think you’re full of sh*t.

I would support Peace through superior firepower. It has a great ring to it. I actualy have a t-shirt I wear all the time that says peace through superior firepower.

I would like to point out that the quote that is highlighted from the PrisonPlanet article, “Veterans draw on our personal experiences to raise public awareness of the true costs and consequences of militarism and war – and to seek peaceful, effective alternatives,” is not specifically connected to this particular story of the VFP passing a resolution calling for another 9/11 investigation. That quote is simply a generic description of what Veterans For Peace is about, which has been on their website since the very beginning and is still there at http://www.veteransforpeace.org/about_vfp.vp.html In watching the video about the resolution and looking at the wording of the resolution, I don’t really see any connection between the actual resolution and what was written ABOUT the resolution in the PrisonPlanet article. The resolution simply calls for VFP to “support a valid investigation into the national security failures of the 9/11/2001 attacks inside the United States.” I personally don’t see a problem with that resolution. For example, I have yet to see a federal response to the assertions made by former FBI agent Coleen Rowley, recently a speaker at St. Leo’s University, article here: http://tinyurl.com/ygqg2jd and a past speaker at a VFP national convention. I have made this point before myself in the context of a college research paper on domestic terrorism (online at http://docs.google.com/View?id=dfjr5r3x_46fj5kqdr ). While I have never received any comments on that particular point in my research paper, I have been complimented overall on my research paper by some of the esteemed commenters of this blog and no one has ever brought up any problems that they might have with what I wrote. Also, while the VFP resolution may have been new news on PrisonPlanet, it is actually old news. The resolution was passed last August. There is a very large gap between simply calling to account our national security failures that led to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and making wild, unsubstantiated claims, such as “Bush Did It” or “9/11 was an Inside Job,” etc. While the various things that you say about VFP may have some validity and can be… Read more »
