Homeowner Opens Fire on Alleged Intruders, Critically Wounding One
AWR Hawkins
A homeowner in Kent, Washington, opened fire on alleged home intruders, critically wounding one, just before 3:00 a.m. on Monday. The house is home to “a multi-generational family,” KING5 noted. The family member who shot the alleged intruder is a 24-year-old man who was awoken by his wife after she heard strange noises.
The 24-year-old confronted the intruders and opened fire, striking a male suspect.
KIRO 7 reported that the alleged intruder was “shot multiple times” and a gun was found lying near him.
After police entered and “cleared the home…[they] began life-saving medical treatment” for the wounded suspect,” according to KOMO News.
The wounded suspect was hospitalized in critical condition. None of the family members in the home were harmed during the incident.

Anything worth shooting is worth shooting a lot.
Thanks to the government’s past record, it is unfortunately very predictable that, in spite of the severe penalties mandated, tens of thousands of people will not comply at all (with Bill C-68). A new class of criminal will be created among harmless citizens whose previous lawbreaking may have resulted in nothing more than parking tickets.

That RCMP quote hits the nail on the head, especially as it pertains to anti-gun legislation. But that seems to be the goal of politicians–and a very strong argument for why the 2A was written in the first place. At the rate the new governor is going, I might be an overnight criminal had I retired back to VA. In a way, that seems to be what “they” want. It’s about control, and the true criminal class can’t be controlled. But you and I being law-abiding citizens certainly can be. Even if we fail to comply with a new law, getting busted means that most of us will take our sentences (likely given little to no jail time by a “generous” judge, except in a few cases where an example has to be made), pay our fines, and do our best to recover after being labeled a felony by the very people we voted into office.
Sounds like a present day, live action version of the Ayn Rand quote about government’s job is to prosecute criminals. And when there aren’t enough criminals, more laws are passed to make more criminals.
Maryland made me a criminal. I became a scofflaw all on my own.
Makes you wonder just who the government there is trying to protect. The people who did not ask for that legislation or the government itself so they can get away with doing whatever they want.
I looked at the first story and I looked at KINGS and asked myself, who is KINGS and took a closer look and I then read KING5 and figured out that it must be a radio or TV news station so it turned out that I was under the illusion that I read KING5 as KINGS so I guess that I was a little delusional which is unusual for me….
When was the last time you had your eyes/glasses checked?
I have implants and was at the eye Doc this past Tuesday and everything was Jake. Usual visits are every 6 months and the Doc had the next visit in 9 months, and have been using the same eye Docs for the past 18 years and Also have an Iris eye Doc in the same place with 6 month visits. I think that I have to read a little slower. I really apreciate your concern about my missread KING5 goof up T D B W.. Will be hitting 81 this year so I really have to watch what I’m doing all the time..
At 81 y.o., you can be forgiven for the optical slip up. i hope to live as long.
Easy, I didn’t hit the big 81 yet.
Your vision started failing after World War 11.
Thank God for The Squad, otherwise we would have no one to ridicule since Daniel Bernath maintained permanent -6 feet altitude.
I can read my Magic 8-ball without glasses Hack so now I’ll be Magic 8-Ball locked and loaded for WOT if I don’t fall asleep on my recliner. Doo Wopp Shoo Bop, See you later Alligator.
See! No Kings!
Good shooting, Mr Homeowner. Too bad ya didn’t have/take the opportunity to apply the TSS.
Also a good thing that your actions took place in Kent, Washington (USA), instead of Kent, not-so-Great Britain.
“He’s the hairy-handed gent who
ran amok in Kent
Lately he’s been overheard in Mayfair
You better stay away from him, he’ll rip your lungs out, Jim
Huh, I’d like to meet his tailor”
When I was working for Brink’s, we had a Retired NYPD who came to work for us and was stationed in Kent England during WW2. He was trained for fighter planes and ended up flying a B-17, and when the Korean Conflict came, he was flying a jet fighter…
It was during an argument when it was explained to me I wouldn’t understand since I am an Anglo. “Sir”, I take offense to that”, I said to my opponent, “My great-grandfather was from Kent and my sainted great-grandmother was from Ireland.” The look of confusion on his face was priceless.
OFF TOPIC;
61 years ago, Friday April 30th we pulled out of Norfolk NOB and headed to the Dominican Republic’s Santo Domingo which was named OP Power Pack where we joined up with
Comphibron 10. We picked up the Marine BLT as we passed by Moorehead city with the H-34 Sikorsky’s bringing them aboard the LPH-3. All I have to say is, where did the time go from then to today…
61 years ago, I was either in 3rd or 4th grade. Good training for the military. My 3rd grade teacher would yell like TI before his 1st cup of coffee. My 4th grade teacher was a powerfully fine looking woman who would rival Helen of Troy. Either way, the way getting yelled at and desiring women I could never have set me on the path of military service.
Or, to amplify Ed’s comment: “Don’t shoot till you think he’s dead, shoot till HE thinks he’s dead.”
I have shot snakes, like that. You might think it’s dead, don’t be wrong.
