Nice to see educators have our backs.

The Anchorage, AK School District calendar refers to Veteran’s Day not by its proper – and legal – name, but as a “student release professional development day.”

While the school district did not recognize the holiday on their calendar, they did post on social media on Veterans Day, saying, “the Anchorage School District extends our deepest gratitude to the veterans in our schools, families, and community for their courage, sacrifice, and dedication” and “your service and example inspire our students every day.”Fox News

Talk is cheap. Their ACTIONS say otherwise.

And, speaking of cheap talk, the WaPo is standing by its report that Hegseth ordered war crimes (and for all we know, cheats at poker.)

“The Washington Post is proud of its rigorous, accurate reporting,” a spokesperson for the paper told Fox News Digital.

Several lawmakers cited testimony from Admiral Mitch Bradley in which he denied such orders having been given.

When pressed on the comments made by the lawmakers and the Pentagon’s call for a retraction, a spokesperson for the Post referred back to its statement and declined to comment further.Fox News II

Moving on along, according to The Independent, when you go through the actual criminal records of all of these ICE detainees, a significant fraction of these “worst of the worst” being rounded up don’t have a criminal record.

Less than 30 percent of those arrested in those operations had prior criminal convictions, according to an analysis from The New York Times using arrest data obtained by the Deportation Data Project. An even smaller share of those arrested had been convicted of a violent crime.

The most common convictions were for driving under the influence and other traffic offenses.

The data closely mirrors national trends in immigration arrest data through Trump’s mass deportation campaign, with the share of people in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody with criminal convictions plummeting to just 28 percent in October – down from 46 percent at the beginning of the year.

ICE arrested more than 1,100 people in D.C. from August through mid-October, more than triple the amount of ICE arrests in the city within the first seven months of the year.

In Chicago, only 15 percent of immigrants detained in the weeks-long “Operation Midway Blitz” surge led by Customs and Border Protection had a prior criminal conviction. Only 3 percent had prior convictions for violent crimes.

ICE data through October 15 analyzed by the Deportation Data Project show that the vast majority of those arrests in Chicago — 67 percent — have only civil immigration violations, such as overstaying a visa or crossing the border illegally. Independent

Me, I’m all over deporting – or worse – illegal serious criminals. But it sure sounds like we are favoring quantity over quality.

Let’s go back to the chaotic Afghan withdrawal. We left a bit behind on our way out.

“Due to the Taliban takeover, SIGAR was unable to inspect any of the equipment provided to, or facilities constructed for, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) following the Afghan government’s collapse,” the report said. “However, DOD determined that the United States left behind approximately $7.1 billion in material and equipment it had given to the ANDSF.

“Similarly, any remaining ANDSF facilities that were not destroyed, can be assumed to be under Taliban control. These U.S. taxpayer-funded equipment, weapons, and facilities have formed the core of the Taliban security apparatus.”

A Pentagon watchdog found the following year that “Afghan forces had 316,260 weapons, worth $511.8 million, as well as ammunition and other equipment in their stocks when the former government fell, though the operational condition of these items was unknown.”

Thank God the rest of Biden’s term he guarded us against our evil assault weapons by giving them to a hostile enemy… wait, what?

“Quantity has a quality all its own.” I don’t need the list of illegals deported to have “had a serious conviction.” You realize, of course, many were just released with no charges, pled down from serious charges, or simply haven’t yet been caught for the first time.

Overstaying a visa, having entered illegally, having an existing deportation order, these are sufficient for me. As Maggie famously said, “don’t go wobbly.”

They’re all in the country illegally, and have to leave. They’ve been given an option to leave now, get a little cash, and the possibility of legal return. The other option isn’t as nice. I give no shits about which option is exercised, as long as they leave the country. I’m fine with “quantity”.

I truly do not care if it’s civil or criminal. If you overstay or invite yourself in, it is still unfair to ALL of those doing it the right way. You have to go. I dont truly care if you’ve been here 30 years. There are other crimes committed, like identity fraud, forgery, etc etc…. these are just overlooked and not prosecuted. I would hazard to guess one would be hard pressed to simply be an innocent civil visa overstay or border crossed

What Prior Service and Retired Grunt said.
If you crossed any US border without prior proper paperwork, payment, and procedure, with intent to stay and work (theft of a citizen’s job and wages), taking advantage of Gooberment largesse (“free” education and medical), you’ve already committed criminal and civil offenses, you just haven’t been arrested and charged yet.
There are no innocent illegal aliens.
(They’re NOT migrants)

That right there is the beauty of America. They have the freedom to believe all that… stuff, and I have the freedom to point and laugh, knowing they’re 100% full of shit and will learn a painful lesson eventually.

“…The American dream is a scam….”
And you’re still here………why?
If you truly beleived what you preach, you wouldn’t be here to preach it, now, would you?
So that makes you a liar and a hypocrite, doesn’t it?

Old tanker

Looking for “the worst of the worst” is going to mean you will run into the least of the worst since neither category exists in a vacuum. I really do not care. If they are here illegally, then they have to go, period end of story. Far too many of our tax dollars are spent providing for those folks in multiple ways be they medical or financial benefits.

With our deficit we need to cut costs drastically and that should mean not spending money top support illegal aliens as well as sending cash to other parts of the world who hate us.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal

I’d even include not sending OUR TAX (not Teh Gooberment’s) money to parts of the world that like us.

Forest Bondurant

If a foreigner is in the country illegally, I could care less if he/she has a prior criminal history or even a traffic infraction.

They’ve got to go.

Deportations can’t happen fast enough.

SFC D

We’re gonna need a bigger boat.

Convicted? no… never convicted

It’s hard to convict under the catch and release program in Colorado.

Odie

Make it a twofer. Any state officials who basically snubbed their nose at what Trump is trying to do can join them on whatever it is the illegals are being sent home on. Then border patrol arrest can them for attempting to re enter without a valid passport.

I hear there are some unused cages on the border that haven’t been used in a while.

More progressive bureaucrats at work… Maine refuses to re-instate officer as directing by creating BS bureaucratic reasons:

Someone tell the WaPo that when an illegal is arrested for a crime, they are more than likely to be released with no, or very low bond. So, though Achmed was arrested for sexual assault on a minor, he won’t show up for court. Down the road, some half-assed reporter will look up the record for Achmed and find no conviction and report that poor Achmed had his life interrupted and he has no convictions.
Same with Alejandro, if one gets released on bond and he’s here illegally, that court probably won’t ever see him again.

MCPO USN

I’m all for drop kicking their asses out of here and also all of the whiny bitches that show up to protest it. We don’t need either.
