trump-santa

A few quick minor items.

We wrote about how the BBC aired a program on President Trump in which they falsely edited and conjoined edited quotes an hour apart to make it look like he was urging his follower to storm the ramparts and pillage, plunder, and sack (you thought I was gonna throw in rapine, didn’t ya) Congress. Mr. Trump sued the Beeb for a billion,  BBC director general Tim Davie and head of news Deborah Turness resigned Sunday, and they publicly apologized.

“We accept that our edit unintentionally created the impression that we were showing a single continuous section of the speech, rather than excerpts from different points in the speech, and that this gave the mistaken impression that President Trump had made a direct call for violent action,” it said.  BBC News

Paying? Nope – if the Trump team wants the money, they will have to prove defamation in court. The Beehb’s defense: 1) BBC doesn’t have the rights and did not broadcast it in the US. 2) It didn’t harm Trump – he won anyway. 3) They were just shortening a long speech. (Yeah, like Kamala’s interview was shortened.)  4) The sound bites were never intended to be considered in isolation (come again?) but in context (why did they not show all the context then?)  5) As commentary on political speech, freedoms are heavily enforced in the US.

Apparently a (probable air marshal) lawman, initials KH,  dropped a loaded magazine on a Frontier flight, and boarding passengers on the return  from Atlanta to Cincinnati found it. You can probably guess the result – everyone deplaned, all passengers rescreened by TSA, and I suspect an Airbus 320 load of ticked off pax. 10 rounds of hollowpoints just seem to cause trouble.

“Customers were asked to deplane while a security sweep of the aircraft was conducted, along with additional passenger screening prior to the flight’s departure,” the airline told the outlet. “A subsequent investigation confirmed that the ammunition belonged to a law enforcement officer who was on an earlier flight on the same aircraft. The ammunition and magazine were taken into the custody of the Atlanta Police Department and the property owner was referred to Atlanta P.D. to retrieve his items.” MSN

Guess at least he didn’t leave the gun behind, too.

House Democrats released a few Epstein memos which must have been hastily chosen as they said almost nothing other than dropping Trump’s name One referred to him as “the dog who hasn’t barked” (meaning he had not committed to Epstein land?) one was that a girl who wanted to go to Epstein’s place didn’t want Trump there (didn’t say he was an abuser, I suspect she probably thought he was a bombastic prig) and the last was Epstein discussing how to leverage Trump’s acquaintanceship. Yawn… The Republicans fired back by releasing 20,000 pages of documents, which will probably be even MORE boring.   Mediaite

Last but not least, a present for  vets in the budget bill. You may remember us discussing that the VA had been sending lists of vets who needed financial fiduciaries to BATFE as mentally unstable, hence not allowed to have weapons.

This legislation maintained a provision that prohibits the Department of Veterans Affairs from stripping the constitutional right of veterans to possess a firearm without due process simply because they have been appointed a fiduciary to manage their benefits.

Additionally, the chairmen of the House and Senate Committees on Veterans’ Affairs, Chairmen Mike Bost (R-Illinois) and Jerry Moran (R-Kansas) in addition to Sen. John Kennedy (R-Louisiana) have been working on legislation which would codify this important protection. BFA

Long overdue. Let’s work on national carry reciprocity now.

When Trump wins one of these lawsuits the money is then donated to his presidential library. He also accepts free political advertising as well. Building his legacy and free support for conservative causes is like having the class bully stand up in front of the class, give you double your lunch money back and then tell everyone what great guy you are.

Charles

I believe “the dog who hasn’t barked” is a reference to the Sherlock Holmes story “The Adventure of the Silver Blaze.”

The full quote is:

Gregory: Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?

Holmes: To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.

Gregory: The dog did nothing in the night-time.

Holmes: That was the curious incident.

The quote is sometime rendered as:

“I wish to draw your attention to the curious question of the barking dog.”

“But the dog did not bark.”

“That, sir, is the curious question.”

[Bottom line: The dog knew the criminal, and therefore did not bark or otherwise react when the criminal appeared on the scene.]

So what I think Epstein was saying was that — unlike The Andrew Formerly Known As Prince — Ghislaine Maxwell never mentioned Trump at all, and if he had been using the services of Ms. Maxwell and her girls, she would have.

WOW, You must have mind reading capability because last night I listened to Radio Spirits Silver Blaze re done in 1955 with different radio actors. Set is 20 CD’s and Silver Blaze is on the # 18 CD. 3/27/1955. Glad to see another Holmes fan on the site. Also have the whole Green Hornet radio set starting in the 1930’s. and sets of old radio programs.

rgr769

I have heard that radio show, plus the Jeremy Brett TV episode, and I have read the story in the complete works of Sherlock Holmes. Get the book, some the stories are too complex for a one hour TV or radio show.

rgr1480

I’m right there with you and the other Holmesians! Jeremy Brett by far the greatest traditional Holmes. I enjoyed the few episodes of the modern version and liked seeing how two or three stories were merged into one.

But give me Brett any day!

Epstein was just disappointed he didn’t get any blackmail material.

I feel the most interesting email so far is the one where Epstein said he’s spending Thanksgiving (2017) with Trump — that throws a bit of a monkey wrench into the whole notion that Trump cast Epstein aside years prior.

SFC D
LC

Your evidence against this is … just a bunch of people saying it’s false? Oh my.

Trump was at Mar-a-Lago for Thanksgiving 2017. Epstein had a home a few minutes away, and while I can’t say for sure Epstein was there at the time, the ‘down there’ in the email suggests he was in Florida.

So, did Epstein just ‘make up’ that he was going to see Trump for some reason? Or was he merely hoping to go and perhaps repair a relationship? Or do we want to get really silly and suggest that Epstein was totally talking about a different ‘Trump’?

11B-Mailclerk

So a short-eye says he wants to spend time with Trump, and has a home nearby. That somehow “proves” they did?

Shall we judge you by the pervs living within a half mile of you? Because the odds are I can set you up with something truly rage inducing.

Now how about you play rational, eh? Else folks are going to dogpile you with “seagull” again.

Epstein was on the M-A-L ban list from E’s prior ass-holery there.. At Trump’s order. he couldn’t have gotten on the property, and if found would have been bounced.

LC

I didn’t say it ‘proves’ they did, I said it’s the most interesting email, since Epstein is claiming something that goes against what we’ve heard Trump say about banning him.

Other people were also mentioned, so they can be asked about it – if nobody remembers Epstein and no pictures surface, then it’s likely not the case. If someone else corroborates things, that’d be pretty telling, wouldn’t it?

Me personally, I don’t know for sure – but given the choice between thinking Trump lied (and has strong motivation to), or that Epstein did, back in 2017, with less strong of a motivation to do so, I lean towards it bring true.

rgr769

This comment proves you truly are a moron and/or a TDS sufferer. Get professional help for your delusions.

LC

Which part? The part where I’m more likely to believe Epstein?

Hey, I admit, I go back and forth on that, too — you’d think if Trump were there, it might’ve surfaced before now. At the same time, short of saving face, I don’t know why Epstein would lie in a blatantly falsifiable way in 2017.

So I feel it should be investigated. If that’s “TDS”, then so be it. I like knowing the truth.

rgr769

What lie? Where does Epstein say he is present with Trump? He doesn’t. He also doesn’t say he will be with Trump that day. Moreover, there is ample provable evidence where Trump was all day. Where was Epstein? You can’t show where he was. You can’t show he was within a hundred yards of Trump.

Oh, really. And how would you go about investigating it? You are still a TDS infected moron. As another president (D-rat) once said, “you couldn’t find your ass with both hands.”

SFC D

I always go back to “Why, if the evidence is so damning against Trump, was it not released by the Biden administration to help Kamala?”

11B-Mailclerk

If there was anything to trump-epstein, anything at all, the donks would have hammered him with it before November 2024.

No way they sat on it.

No way -Biden- sat on it.

No way -HRC- sat on it.

Nothingburger.

Trump kicked epstein to the curb when E got caught propositioning underage girls at M-A-L.

Best give up on that quest to tie Trump to that shitbag. Because a whole bunch of folks came up empty trying. You got nothing and it shows.

You really look dumb trying it, no matter how much you tap dance the “just asking” stuff. It’s an own-goal you don’t need.

Whatever SOB is Trump, he ain’t -that- sort of SOB.

SFC D

“Me personally, I don’t know for sure”

You should’ve led with that and then stopped. You’re writing as if a very questionable email is holy writ.

rgr769

Some people say that LC is celebrating Thanksgiving with a group of pedophiles because one of them has a house within five miles of his house. But there is nothing wrong with that.

HT3

Its not like they edit interviews of politicians to try influence elections <heavy sarcasm>, but sure some email is 100% verified.

Anybody think if he did show his head at MAL that nobody would notice? Not like the President isn’t covered by the press 24/7. It was only 8 years ago, and NOW its being reported…really?

thebesig

What Grok said about the question, “Did Donald Trump spend Thanksgiving 2017 with Jeffrey Epstein?”: No, there is no definitive evidence that Donald Trump spent Thanksgiving 2017 (November 23) with Jeffrey Epstein. The claim stems from a single email exchange released by the House Oversight Committee in November 2025, but it does not confirm they were together. Here’s a breakdown of the facts: The Email in Question * On Thanksgiving morning 2017, Epstein emailed Faith Kates (founder of NEXT Model Management) about his holiday plans. * Kates asked: “Where are you having thanksgiving?” * Epstein replied: “eva” (likely referring to his ex-girlfriend Eva Andersson-Dubin). * Kates responded: “That means glenn check out his red hair!!!!” (referring to Glenn Dubin, Eva’s husband). * Kates then asked: “Who else is down there?” * Epstein replied: “david fizel. hanson. trump.” Interpretation: This casual list could refer to Donald Trump (given the context of Epstein’s known social ties), but it could also mean someone else named Trump (e.g., a family member or associate). The email does not specify a location, shared activities, or direct interaction with Donald Trump. It has been seized upon by critics as suggestive, but outlets like Newsweek describe the supporting evidence as “scant.” Trump’s Confirmed 2017 Thanksgiving Activities White House records and contemporaneous media reports (e.g., from CNN and USA Today) show Trump spent the day at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida–near Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion–but with a public schedule focused on family and official duties: * Morning phone calls and meetings at Mar-a-Lago. * Video teleconference with U.S. troops in Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Bahrain, and aboard the USS Monterey. * Visit (with Melania Trump) to the U.S. Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet in Riviera Beach, FL. * Golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. * Family Thanksgiving dinner at Mar-a-Lago (menu included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, red snapper, Florida stone crab, and desserts). * Additional phone calls to close the day. * No guest list was released, and Epstein’s presence is not documented in these accounts. There is no actual proof he was there.

You will find this surprising but; sometimes criminals don’t tell the truth.

The sad pervert that Epstein had become, being what he was, nobody would ever want around during family holidays.

There is a video address of Trump during the holiday celebration and some shots of the guests. Epstein is not among them. While it is quite difficult to prove a negative, the word of a human trafficker without any supporting evidence at all would likely be dismissed by everyone who is not a stakeholder. I understand if you if you want to continue believing that, but it comes across as quite trollish, especially as you admit, there is no actual proof he was there. That is disappointing and based upon your other more insightful posts I would have expected better.

LC

As I said above, it’s interesting because it conflicts with what Trump has said — and one of them, at least, is lying.

If I were an investigator, I’d be talking to the other folks Epstein mentioned he was going to see to determine if he was lying, which is certainly possible, … or whether Trump is, which is also certainly possible.

I don’t see that as trollish, I see it as a concrete thing that can be investigated, vs playing word games with interpretations (eg, ‘dog that hasn’t barked’).

Not a Lawyer

Hundreds of people were there. If Epstein actually were there, it is very likely that someone would have said something, especially given current events.

This is why your monkey wrench notion is invalid. We are back to 2016-2020 with the phony dossier and fake collusion hoax. There was never any proof that any of that was true, the media simply talked about it every single day as though it were true and speculated about “what if” scenarios. In doing so they destroyed whatever remaining credibility they may have had.

Today, most people are much more inclined to only believe whatever can be shown to be true, unless they are a stakeholder, in which case they simply ignore the idea that something is fabricated and embrace it, even though they know it is likely a lie.

rgr769

Yes, Epstein was a convicted sexual predator. Trump kicked him out of Mira Lago over ten years earlier for his activities toward young females working there. Epstein was persona non-grata in Trump world.

Moreover, Epstein hated Trump, which is obvious from the recently discovered emails he was using to coach a D-rat House representative cross-examining Cohen in an impeachment hearing in 2019.

SFC D

The National Enquirer is “interesting”. Interesting does not equate to factual, it may not even live in the same hemisphere.

11B-Mailclerk

What is “interesting” is how poorly your posts have aged, and how bad you now look with what has been further shown.

SFC D

Yup. People with credibility. And there’s also that pesky fact that Trump had banned Epstein from Mar-A-Lago in 2007.

rgr769

The cretinous LC wants us to prove the negative that Trump did not drop by Epstein’s house for some pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving 2017.

HT3

Like clockwork…
The Dems & their minions at The Ministry of Propaganda have a real aversion to the truth…

Epstein-hoax
rgr769

Bull. Shit. The email doesn’t say that. Kates writes “who is down there.” Which can be understood to mean Palm Beach, Fl. Trump was in Palm Beach, at Mara Lago and the nearby golf course that day. There is zero evidence that Epstein was anywhere within a hundred yards of President Trump. The cryptic fragment of a response email of “trump” is not evidence. It is a vague, uncorroborated, hearsay nothingburger that wouldn’t be even admitted in evidence or considered in court. If you were Clarence Darrow, you couldn’t lay a foundation to get it admitted as proof that Epstein was even in Palm Beach that day. You wouldn’t be calling Epstein to testify. “He’s dead, Jim!”

Blaster

The reason that the documents won’t be released is because of all of the “powerful” people that reside within those documents. I say again, if Trump was in them in any significant way, they would have been released as soon as he launched his campaign!

The craziest thing to me is that those screeching for the documents release are only wanting to see Trump hurt! They don’t give a shit about the victims and don’t give a shit about those that perpetuated the abuses. NO Care whatsoever for the actual “bad guys”

As long as they can hurt Trump in any way! That’s the ONLY motivator!!!

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neande

Besides the BBC, I also quick-scanned a blurb that the Aussie BC did the same thing, editing a PDJT47 speech to try to make him look bad.
Q: Will PDJT47 also for the throat of the DeMSM in Land Down Under?
As for the BBC (sorry/not sorry, whenever I type that, I think of a pron expression. fitting, no?) begging excuses, it’s still slander and libel. The BBC (!!) needs to be sued down to their pretty pink panties, and left homeless in the streets of London.

I am more interested in the Major Richard Star Act, then national reciprocity but to be fair, that’s because it effects me. Therefore under the logic of the wise Mr Spock, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.

BBC: But, but, but… it’s only electioneering whe conservatives do it!!

That must be the sorry-ist Air Marshall. Of all time.

C’mon, dims. If there was any legit dirt you had that connected Trump to Epstein, you would’ve released it during Darth Brandon’s rule.

Last story: Good.

He is doing “mag dump” wrong.

Welp, at least he didn’t leave his loaded gun in the shitter like that MCP LT that killed Ashley Babbit.
