Suspect Shot During Alleged Online Sale Meetup Robbery

A suspect was shot and wounded Saturday after allegedly attempting to rob a man during a meetup arranged online for the sale of an item.The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in Dunwoody, Georgia.
FOX 5 Atlanta reported that there were two alleged robbers and they came to an apartment complex where a man had listed something for sale. Gunfire was exchanged during the meetup, leaving one of the alleged robbers wounded.
11 Alive noted that the wounded suspect was taken into police custody. The second suspect fled the complex and was not located.
A neighbor to the resident who shot the alleged robber said, “It sounded almost like fireworks, and then when I came out, that’s when my neighbors told me that it was literally the gunshots, and I was like Oh my goodness.”
The neighbor added, “It’s normally a quiet community, so nobody really bothers anybody here, everybody is just really nice and quiet, so it was very shocking to hear that that happened.”

But for concealed carry to defend your life in a hostile environment……notsomuch. Maybe as a BUG for your primary carry.
Yeah, I just finished reading the entire report.
I’ll stick to my P320 (cue screeching and gnashing of teeth) for EDC, but as a BUG for some scenarios it might be worth a look.
But I’ll probably stick to my little Ruger .22 for that.
You can buy aftermarket magazine followers for a Walther P22 to give it 13+1 capacity in a very small reliable package. I know Greybeard had problems with a PPK but the P22 has been so nice I’ve literally owned it twice.

The whole Phil Monkress and APL saga is well documented here at TAH. Basically, if he’d come clean and apologized about posing as a Navy Seal to snag some contracts, then he’d be long forgotten. Instead, he decided to use his loser proxies and go to war with John and the whole TAH gang, and earned eternal enimity (and ridicule) because of it.
Easier to use a .22 zip (Zippo lighter) gun that the Super seniors with the leather motorcycle jackets and DA haircuts used to make on the sly in our high school wood working class….
