Rot In Hell
The Iraqi government announced today the death of Ali Hassan Al-Majid, the notorious cousin of Saddam Huessin who became known as “Chemical Ali” because of his role in using chemcial against the Kurds. He was hanged shortly after recieving his FOURTH death sentence (and unfortunately they only hanged him once). Ali Hassan also was the military governor of Kuwait following its occupation by Iraq and helped to crush a Shiite rebellion in southern Iraq after the Gulf War. He was part of Saddam’s inner-circle for many and was able to remain consisently in Saddam’s favor, unlike many of his other relatives, including his sadistic son Uday.
I don’t think anybody will be missing him.
“I want to kiss the hangman’s rope,” said Kamil Mahmoud, a 40-year-old teacher who lost eight family members in the March 16, 1988, attack in Iraq’s Kurdish region.”

Well, I DID think he already dead and rotting.
Interesting you mention that Ponsdorf, according to Wikipedia, Ali Hassan has been reported dead falsely AT LEAST five times.
I don’t think I have felt this good about someone dying. It is kind of a toss up between this al-Zarqawi and Sadam.
AMF
Somewhere, there is an ISO member crying. hahaha
Nah, Zarqawi’s death felt much, much better. Needless to say, this one is still pretty sweet.
Too bad they did not gas him instead of hanging him.
I don’t think Iraqis have a sense of irony.
Heh, I remember crossing into Iraq in March of ’03, MOPP IV (just for a minute, before we went back to MOPP II for the next three weeks; the smell was EPIC), and everyone encouraging eachother that it couldn’t be all bad because “Chemical Ali is dead.” Oh, imagine our surprise when, several months later, we heard that he had just been captured!
Still, can’t think of a more deserving candidate for the Danny Deever than that sonofabitch, excepting perhaps the one who already danced it and his psychopath sons. Justice for Kurdistan, several decades late, but better than never.
“I want to kiss the hangman’s rope…”
I believe it. It’s about time.
And yet, they managed to execute Ali without the AQCLU trying to get stays of execution, countless appeals, and trying to drag it out until the families of his victims were all dead from old age. Nice job, and I agree, about time.
Ali dead- HOOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, I still don’t understand why that kid from the 101st didn’t shoot Saddam in his spiderhole when he went for his gun. And, COB6, why is Mookie still sucking oxygen?
Good news, though on Chemical Ali.
“Never Forget that Political Correctness allowed radical islam to kill 14 souls at Ft. Hood on 11/5/09!”
I’m not saying Chemical Ali should not have hanged, or that the Iraqi’s (and especially the Kurds) don’t deserve their justice. However, let’s remember that GEN Petraeus frustrated the Iraqi justice system for years to keep Ali alive because of the intel Ali had given up and the promise GEN Petraeus made to get him to surrender. And Frankly… 4ID captured Saddam, not the 101st.
