By: Leo Santos
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police said that a young man is in critical condition after attempting a carjacking, which led to him being shot.At around 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 4, officers arrived at a parking lot in St. Pete after receiving a report of a shooting, the St. Pete Police Department (SPPD) said.
A couple was parked in front of the Crafty Crab at 2901 Tyrone Blvd North. The husband was waiting in the car while the wife went in to pick up food.
While the husband was in the car, a masked man entered the vehicle and attempted a carjacking. That’s when the victim pulled out a gun and shot at the suspect.
The suspect, later identified as Simon White, 18, was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he is in critical condition. Once he’s released from the hospital, police say he will face charges, including attempted carjacking and occupied vehicle trespassing.

Simon says, “I FAFO”.
Folks tend to get a little crabby when one tries to steal their vehicle.
Good shooting, Officer. Don’t carry any guilt for doing what had to be done. One (1) less nutjob.
Brady Bill? *spits*
I knew we’d see some purty snubby wheelies before the week was over.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. The dumbass will surely enjoy life in lockup after his fellow inmates discover that he was dumb enough to try and carjack someone who was ready and packing, he’ll also have the scars to remind him every day of the rest of his life!
It would be great if those wounds ached for the rest of his life.
Does point out the wisdom of not relying exclusively on a pocket carry – when you are sitting in a car seat the gun is almost inaccessible. A sin I am all to guilty of…
Getting to a gun while seatbelted requires some prior planning.
Flip side: it is almost impossible to get blood and brains out of vehicle upholstey. (Grin)
You just need advice from Mr Wolfe
Left inside coat pocket.
Seatbelt keeps it secure but still easy draw with right hand.
Yeah, prior planning and a little practice.

Those are some gorgeous grips on that J-Frame. I wonder if they offer an unfluted cylinder? I have always preferred the look of unfluted.
