POMPANO BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A man was shot and killed following an altercation at a gas station in Pompano Beach.

The incident occurred at the Race Trac located at 599 West Atlantic Boulevard around 5 p.m., Sunday.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews located 37-year-old Brian Semil suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Broward Health North where he was pronounced deceased.

According to Broward Sheriff’s Office, Semil tried to forcibly enter a vehicle that was occupied by a mother and her children. Three males intervened and prevented Semil from entering the vehicle.

At some point during this altercation, one of the three individuals discharged his weapon, striking Semil.

All three men and additional witnesses remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Citizens standing up- well done. That Mr. Semil is no stranger to law enforcement surprises no one.

Gun-wielding suspect gets beaten up by employees at pizzeria he tried to rob: police

Pizzeria employees in Texas took justice into their own hands when a man tried to rob their restaurant last week.

Suspect Richard Curtis, 19, was charged with aggravated robbery, according to FOX 7 Austin. He allegedly walked into a Marco’s Pizza location in Austin at around 7 p.m. on Thursday and approached an employee.

FOX 7 reported that Curtis slipped the worker a note reading, “Don’t say s—t, empty the drawer.” He then showed the employee a gun in his waistband, according to an affidavit.

The quick-thinking employee grabbed the suspect and put him in a chokehold while his co-worker called police.

While the employee and Curtis were fighting, the manager of Marco’s Pizza lifted Curtis’ gun from his waistband, according to FOX 7.

The manager allegedly tried shooting Curtis, but the gun didn’t fire.

Seeing that the gun wasn’t working, the manager then pummeled Curtis with the handle of the gun.

Wrong pizzeria, and during the dinner rush? That manager was really upset. Check out Mr. Curtis’ booking photo to see for yourself. Thanks again, Gun Bunny.

Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.

“….grabbed a knife from the kitchen….”
Never fuck with a chef in his own kitchen. He knows where all the knives are.
Beat Up Boy is lucky the manager didn’t turn him into pepperoni for a pizza topping.
And I LOVE that booking pic. Gonna do a lot to enhance your street cred when you’re in the hoosgaw. Well done, Marcos, well done. An excellent example of FAFO.
I’d like to also see a pic of what’s left of the gun after beating Mr Curtis upside his hard head.
‘Ed, did you select the Randall as the header before, or after Gun Bunny gave you the Marcos story? Inquiring minds, and all that.

Richard Curtis’ nickname in the joint is now Pizza Face.

MIRanger

I wonder if he thought that piercing at the top of his nose made him look more tough?
I wonder if the gun was really in-op or it just had a safety on it?

Two (2) classic examples of why one needs to…Prepare…to defend yourself or others.

FGS are getting as hard to find as a deal on a Randall…and an honest grubermint.

I’ll be in Austin this evening. Going lightly armed (for me), with the stashed S&W Shield EZ .30 Super Carry and the Beretta 80X Cheetah. Usually I travel with a shotgun, but I guess I’ll leave it for once (famous last words?). I’ve checked the laws, so should be good carrying if I feel the need. Marcos will not be on my must-see list, though.
