Come Walz with me

| August 16, 2024

Seems like the news is all Walz, all the time. Some of it is pretty damning, some is a bit exaggerated, and some – well, you decide.

First up is a Fox News article which claims rural Minnesotans are unhappy with Walz’ policies.

“We joke that we’re mini California. Most of us, if we could, we would annex into South Dakota. He’s put policies in place that have hurt small businesses. I have friends that have lost small businesses because of his policies. It’s killing our small towns, our rural development,” Matthew A. told Fox News Digital.

“He point-blank said we’re just rocks and cows out here, and he has done very little to help us.

Dan Fedders, a salesman in Minnesota, described the Harris-Walz ticket as “very liberal.”

“I think they’re a great team, the two of them together. God bless them. But they’re not going to have a chance at all,” Fedders said of Walz and Harris. “In my opinion, he is just about as far liberal as she is. And I think most of the people in Minnesota are happy about it because he might leave or at least be gone for a period of time.”Fox News

Rocks and cows?  It’s twue, it’s twue.

Walz, describing conservative areas of his state during a roundtable while campaigning for governor in 2017, said Democrats “go into depression” when they see electoral maps shaded in red, but “it’s mostly rocks and cows that are in that red area.”  Forbes.com

And when someone says they like your ticket because it might mean you are going elsewhere? That’s not even damning with faint praise.

And then we get to Imam Asad Zaman, executive director of the Muslim American Society in Minnesota, who spoke at Walz’ inauguration in 2019.

As previously reported by Fox News Digital, Zaman, who is originally from Bangladesh, has used his Facebook page to share official Hamas press releases, blog posts from antisemitic sites and a 2015 link to a pro-Hitler film, “The Greatest Story Never Told.” Released in 2013, the propaganda film is antisemitic and popular among fringe groups, according to the Anti-Defamation League.

The 2019 inauguration adds to the list of appearances Walz and Zaman have made together dating back to at least 2018. Fox News II

Then we have the cop who arrested Walz for speeding (96 in a 55) drunk in 1995.

“The DUI charge was dropped for a Reason: it wasn’t true,” Walz’s then-campaign communications director told local news in 2006. “The trooper had him drive to the station and then leave on his own after being at the station. Tim feels bad about speeding and has paid the ticket and apologized to his family at the time it happened.”

Uh, no.

In fact, the incident’s police report clearly states that Walz was transported by police to a local hospital for blood alcohol testing after being arrested. And this week, Nebraska state police confirmed to CNN that Walz was taken by a state trooper to jail.

The campaign also says

His campaign manager told a similar story to another local paper.

“Walz’s campaign manager Kerry Greeley didn’t dispute that Walz was speeding when he was pulled over that night, but she said Walz was not drunk. She attributed the misunderstanding to Walz’s deafness, a condition resulting from his years of serving as an artillerist in the Army National Guard,” read an article in the Post Bulletin.

“He couldn’t understand what the officer was saying to him,” Greeley said.

“She said deaf people also can have balance issues. The judge eventually threw out the DUI charges against Walz and chastised the officer for not realizing that Walz was deaf, Greeley said,” the report added.MSN.com

Deafness caused him to blow a .128 BAC. Right.

Walz took a plea deal, court records show, pleading guilty to reckless driving. In a court hearing in March 1996, Walz admitted that he had been drinking and driving.

Only way I know to have deafness cause someone to get drunk is when they start ignoring the wife’s yammering and start drinking.

Last, but certainly not least – LTC John Kolb took over command of Walz’ battalian a few months after Walz’ retirement.

“He did not earn the rank or successfully complete any assignment as an E9,” Kolb reportedly wrote. “It is an affront to the Noncommissioned Officer Corps that he continues to glom onto the title. I can sit in the cockpit of an airplane, it does not make me a pilot.

“By all accounts and on the record, he was a competent Chief of Firing Battery/Gunnery Sergeant and First Sergeant,” he added. “I cannot say the same of his service sitting, frocked, in the CSM chair.”

Kolb also claimed Walz’s departure from the National Guard may have been a boon to his unit. “I do not regret that Tim Walz retired early from the Minnesota Army National Guard, did not complete the Sergeants Major Academy, broke his enlistment contract or did not successfully complete any assignment as a Sergeant Major,” Kolb reportedly wrote in his post. “Unwittingly, he got out of the way for better leadership.”  Daily Beast

That’s gonna leave a mark….but note that Kolb DID NOT COMMAND Waltz.  So that tells me what Kolb knows of Walz he primarily knows second hand from Thomas Behrends, the fella who kicked all this off in 2022 calling Walz a traitor, coward, deserter,  whatever. I’m going to need to see more to buy LTC Kolb’s comments – although peripherally supporting his allegations, that would certainly explain why an E-8/9 retiring at the end of 24 years got a retirement award of…an Arcom. It’s not the lowest of the merit awards, that honor goes to the AAM if I recall…but as we have discussed before, it is not what a respected senior NCO would normally be given. Call this one no score.

I’m all in favor of Timbo Walbanger running for the office of Vice-President of The United States of America.
It gets his useless ass out of the State of Minnesota, and when he and Hairless loose in November he’ll be out of our hair here in Minnesota.

Peter the Bubblehead

All well and good if simply running for VP would get A-Walz out of Minnesota, but I certainly don’t want him elected and have to deal with the first Communist administration in the history of the USA.

Odie

They would find a way to get Harris out, and put Walz in. Let me know if that sounds familiar.

Peter the Bubblehead

To be completely honest, I expected them to push Biden out and install Harris as the “historic first black female president” before Memorial Day 2021.

I’m surprised nobody mentioned his SF bling. Lots of pics of him floating with that Special Forces camo ball cap. I’ve seen a few X posts saying he was part of Special Forces. He certainly wants you to think he was a “Cool Guy”, but he bailed on his troopers before deployment. He graduated Bad Leadership 101 Valedictorian with that move.

Check his hat and insignia below.

Yes, that is the SF crest/DUI. But he would likely say he is wearing it in honor of some who served in SF units. Of course he wasn’t one. His avoidance of deployment with his unit says all those of us who wore that insignia need to know.

Walz should waltz behind the walls of Walmart. He looks like an obese Sam Walton and is the epitome of the discount politician that everyone seems to love these days.

Retirement awards… I’ve stated before that I was put in for an ARCOM in MDW by a new MSG who didn’t really know me. The CG upgraded it, but I was disappointed that my civilian leadership didn’t push for the MSM I ended up getting, especially the retired SGM-turned-GS13 that was my immediate supervisor (and who’d retired with both a LOM and a DMSM). For better or worse, there’s an expectation for end-of-tour (EOT) and retirement awards once you hit SFC. That expectation starts with the MSM, and if you serve high enough or make enough friends, an SGM/CSM or even 1SG might receive an LOM. The ARCOM is very much a SSG and below award for EOT, while even a SSG usually receives an MSM for retirement. I know quite a few who never made SFC and got their token MSM when they finally hung up the uniform.

The “lowly” AAM is undercut by the Certificate of Achievement (COA), which goes in your records and counts towards promotion points, but has no ribbon or medal associated with it. In my opinion, we have far too many awards these days, but arguably not quite enough. A SSG who’s been recognized for multiple achievements and PCS’s might sport two decorations (AAM/ARCOM) with multiple oak leaf clusters, while his leaders might have an MSM but nowhere near the number of individual decorations. Basically, you’re looking at AAMs until you’re a senior SGT or SSG, ARCOMs until you make SFC or higher, and then you cap at MSMs unless you stand out or have exceptional leadership that believes in recognition. The only real breakaway from the Army awards system is serving with a Joint command: I managed to get a JSAM during my time in MDW. By the regs, it’s not quite legit, as I was in MDW and not the JTF, but I wrote/reviewed all of the JTF orders, the award was approved by my CG, I have an official orders number, and who am I to argue with someone who’s now an LTG? I won’t wear the two JMUAs we earned, though, despite some of my peers deciding to do so.

Just got COA– I’ll cherish it always. /sarc

For several years early in my Navy career, they were giving out NAMs (Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal – roughly equivalent to AAM) like candy – heck, a member of my crew got one for supervising the painting of my sub’s hull! It was pretty standard that End of Tour was going to be a NAM. Then all of a sudden the Navy realized how many awards they were giving out and six months before my own end of tour the policy became, “We don’t give Third Classes (E-4) NAMs.” I got an Admiral’s Letter instead.
During Shore duty I got promoted to Second Class (E-5). Everyone and their uncle E-5 and above were getting NAMs as their EoT award. Then roughly six months before I was to rotate back to sea, the Navy decided once again they were giving out too many awards. My day to go back to sea duty arrives and I get told, “We don’t give Second Classes NAMs.”
When my second sea tour/enlistment ended, I was going to receive another Admiral’s Letter. I told my LPO I would rather get nothing. My command (departing CO, new CO, and the COB) pulled a few strings and bout two weeks before I separated from the command and I was surprised during our weekly all-hands being presented with my one and only NAM in recognition for my ten years of faithful service, specifically for my part in successful operations during our OIF/OEF deployment in 2003.
The pendulum swings back and forth constantly.

He apparently runs five miles regularly. He thinks about the racist, anti-semitic Ilhan Omar (who says she puts Somalis and Somalia first) to get him through the tough moments.

After he runs the five miles regulary, he waltzes around his local buffet table restaurant putting five miles worth of food on his plate…

26Limabeans

The sausage tray is a favorite.

jeff LPH 3 63-66

He does this on his “trey” time around.

SFC D

I don’t know how awards work in the NG, but I do know that if you’re a “retired CSM” with one, count it, one ARCOM as your highest award, you’ve probably stomped your pecker flat repeatedly.

26Limabeans

I love my Viet of the Nam end of tour ARCOM.
Not nearly as much as my NDSM though….

Hi Timmy👋

I wonder if he had any “backdoor” visitors while he was in the slam.

BlueCord Dad

He’s a fine looking specimen ain’t he?

Six footer if you count the cap.

BlueCord Dad

I didn’t know they stacked shit that high😎

Jane Fonda spent more time in a combat zone than Timmy “No Balls” Walz.

11B-Mailclerk

Trump has seen more combat.

SFC D

He’s definitely heard more shots fired in anger!

11B-Mailclerk

Obviously “react to far ambush” needs a bit of work, but good attitude.

Tallywhagger

Is there any truth to the story about Walz being hospitalized for drinking horse semen?

I wonder if he got it directly from the horse or just gave him a reach-around.

tshe

I thought when they said the Walz has to get the HS back into the horse, I took it to mean something else.

Fyrfighter

Interesting that the article says he was hospitalized after “overingesting”.. doesn’t that imply that there’s an acceptable amount to ingest?? WTF is wrong with these people??

Maybe he just missed the donkey shows down south?

RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

That’s the Kumala Hairass liquid diet!

BennSue

Ummmm…..what was the “non-food substance?” Also, is this from the Babylon Bee or legitimate?

Mason

It’s been fact checked as AI generated, but it’s so hard to tell these days.

Slow Joe

Yes. AI is becoming a problem.
I asked the AI in my phone to build me the most beautiful girl in the world and this is what I got:

She seems nice.

SFC D

Someone told him “fuck you and the horse you rode in on”, and Timmy didn’t understand the assignment.

Old tanker

Ltc Kolb may not have commanded walz but if he was in the same unit prior to being Commander, he may very well have first hand personal knowledge of walz’s performance

Most National Guard units are location-based (they’re not going to ship people in from New Jersey to fill an open billet in Minnesota) so in all likelihood, I would guess the odds are greater than 90% that Kolb was somehow attached to the unit prior to assuming command right after A-Walz ran away.

Slow Joe

Good point.
If LTC Kolb was in the same unit before, then…

Though to be fair, even if he didn’t, I am all about to use anything we have to keep Kamaleon and Walzpoon out of the White House.

After all, the Dems are still using old lies about JDT that have been proven to be lies, like the bloodbath and the good people on both sides, to keep Trump down in the polls.

The left-wing, commie nut jobs are going to vote for the Tampon Man and Heals Up just because. They will vote for those two (Team Tampon) regardless of what anyone says about them because the left all vote via identity politics, and NOT on ANYTHING else. This and the fact that the Demorats will cheat will ensure that our wonderful country will likely be a communist country in less than the four years that these two turds have to complete the turnover process. I hope I am wrong.

Fyrfighter

Better to have it kick off a 2nd CW that to turn commie..

Tampon Timmy leads the retreat…

Nice Blazing Saddles reference. I’m sure Lili Von Shtüpp would approve.

I knew I smelled BS on the DUI arrest. A police officer releasing an arrest at the police station with no charge at the station is an officer about to be unemployed. Throw an apology in there and it sounds more like a hallucination.

“Arranging” to get your DUI “taken care of” in court will cost you dear but it is the way of the rich.

So far as being “deaf” from being in FA, and then having surgery to “fix it” is the kind of accuracy and reporting I expect from the NYT, since it is not only a lie but an impossible lie.

Skivvy, don’t forget that attitude for us Bill Clinton.

11B-Mailclerk

Hearing repair through surgical removal of his head from his ass, perhaps?

11B-Mailclerk

When there is a D here, nothing to see here.

Roh-Dog

MSG (Retarted) Walz isn’t American.

No changing my mind.

He could be our for realz Manchurian Candidate.
