How do you hold and shoot that Henry shotgun? Hip shoot? No thanks, give me a shoulder stock, more stable.
I need all the stable I can get.
Tox, if you can’t handle a .410 in that configuration you’re getting mighty old and feeble. (jus’ sayin’)
GB, can’t say as I’ve ever shot a .410. Mebbe I’m thinking of a 12 ga.
At close range I recall a .410 has more muzzle energy than a typical .44 Magnum – it’s not a big pattern but that mare’s leg is made to be used at damn near halitosis range.
If you want some excellent brass .410 hulls, fireform .303 brass(I’m sure .30-40 Krag would work too) in a .410 chamber. They will last for the rest of your life
I was teasing you.
But in my growing up a .410 was frequently a youngster’s first shotgun, because it doesn’t kick much. It also could be discouraging trying to knock down a bird because it’s payload is so small.
There ain’t no way I’d shoot a 12 ga. in that configuration though. I like my wrists unbroken, thank you very mucy. 🙂
Damn! That shooting is just nothing but f&&ked up.
No background info, did everyone know everyone? A grudge? A business deal? Bad neighbors? Nothing.
Buuuuut……considering the booking pic, the skin melanin content, and the ink stains, it could be a simple as looking at someone sideways. Nogs gonna nog.
If you think the reporting is bad in this one, Tox, wait a day or so…it just gets worse. We got one in the queue that we’re still trying to get an “update”…and that incident was FIRST (ht2 HS) reported over the weekend. Tho many self defense stories are folks defending themselves against the trash, in so many cases it winds up being the trash taking out the trash. It’s a cultural, or lack of culture, thing. I carry concealed…every.where.I.go!
Our Beloved AW1Ed is going to keep featuring that Henry Axe until he forces me to chop the money out of my wallet and go get me one.

That Hoover Ala story hoovers big time.
It sounds just like some of the neighborhoods my prison students talk about.
