What the IVAW thinks of personal opinions
Last night, an IVAW member posted this on the “Members Speak” portion of their website;
This morning it’s been removed from the IVAW website and the member is being considered for expulsion because the IVAW Board of Directors couldn’t summon the testicular fortitude to boot Carl Webb and it’s just easier to persecute members who oppose their support of violence and sabotage.

The member is not being considered for expulsion as far as I am aware. If he was kicked out over that while Carl Webb was not, Jose would have my resignation on his desk the following morning.
The member who posted it is a good guy.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Any active duty IVAW members should be aware that belonging to such a violence condoning group can get you a ticket to Leavenworth.

IVAW is not opposed to breaking unjust laws.

I would really hope that the members of IVAW be concerned with the wars we are in and not the membership status. This conflict is between Webb and Jose now…

Casey wants to know, other than deseretion, what I have done. Well I’ve helped others go AWOL. But you’re against that so I guess that doesn’t count. I put my refusal to deploy on YouTube and which led to Amy Goodman inviting me to speak on her show Democracy Now. I’ve been on NPR, Air American, Pacifica Radio, KOOP radio. I was on Fox 7 News her in Austin. I was interviewed by the Austin American Statesman and the Austin Chronicle. I’ve spoken at high schools, colleges, churches, book stores, rallies,…ect. You say I can’t even help organize events! LOL! I set up the interview for Ronn and Hart with the Houston Chronicle which was the only newspaper from Texas to cover Winter Soldier in D.c. I got IVAW Austin to invite Dahlia Wasfi to come speak here in Texas. I was the first soldier from Texas to join IVAW. I was already a member of Veterans for Peace before you even enlisted. Most importantly, I support the people of Iraq and Afghanistan which you do not. The people that you didn’t even mention once in your video.
Carl: The only thing unjust about IVAW’s rules against violence is that IVAW members are prohibited from treating you as you deserve.

What the fuck is his problem with GWOT? I mean the Overseas Contingency Operations against man made disasters.
Are we not ‘committing violence’ against ‘oppression’?
The anti-war position seems pretty pro-war to me.
And if you don’t follow rules/laws to begin with, why do you care what they are anyway?

Porter’s “YES” film is a perfect example! On TAH, it is purported he “interviewed” Webb, when in fact Porter never told him the call was being recorded (notes were on YouTube). No sooner did this get put on TAH, y’all comments kept referring to Webb as “interviewee.”
You’re no better than a cult.. when did you drink the Kool Aid? Was it any good?
And? Carl Webb has made the same type of comments before the video. So it is not like this video is bringing in something that we did not already know about. Or how about his comments on sabotaging US vehicles putting lives at risk while Webb is safely at home.
We protect our own.
