Pima County homeowner shoots one after being assaulted by two men
Authorities said the victim was clearing a homeless encampment on his property
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Authorities are looking for a suspect from an assault and shooting in Catalina on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said James McLaughlin, 47, and Clifford Bretthauer, 46, assaulted a homeowner who was cleaning up a homeless encampment on his property in the 3000 block of East Lamb Drive.
The victim then shot McLaughlin and Bretthauer fled the scene.
McLaughlin suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
