Deputies: 4 people shot after home invasion turns into shootout in Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that sent four people to the hospital.The sheriff’s office responded to the call early Tuesday morning on Bainbridge Avenue — just west of Fairfield Drive.
The sheriff says dozens of rounds were fired.
“All four had gunshot wounds and it’s because they were shooting at each other,” Simmons said.
Sheriff Simmons says two people were sleeping inside the home when two others armed with guns broke into the residence.
“That led to a shootout more or less inside the trailer between the people that were living there or staying there, sleeping there, and those that were breaking in and doing what we call a home invasion,” Simmons said.

Warner Robins Police say the investigation revealed Graves shot Pope in self-defense after Pope forced his way into Graves’ home.“The incident was a continuation of an earlier incident at the home,” a Wednesday news release update said.
Graves is not being charged with any crimes, police said. Pope is still hospitalized.
“This investigation is still ongoing and may result in criminal charges,” the release added.
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A shooting in Warner Robins Tuesday resulted in one man being hospitalized, and the Warner Robins Police Department (WRPD) is now investigating.
A WRPD news release says officers responded to a call at 234 Randy Circle around 8 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police learned a confrontation between 35-year-old Lamarcus Graves and 33-year-old Aundre Pope ended with Pope being shot. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon. Police did not reveal his condition.
