One killed after shooting at Baltimore County Police in Parkville; 2nd person found dead
Police ID deceased as a 48-year-old woman, 52-year-old man
One person is dead after exchanging gunfire with three Baltimore County Police officers in Parkville and a second person was found dead inside a home late Friday night, the department said.
The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Maple Avenue, where officers responded to a domestic disturbance call, Baltimore County Police said.
As officers approached a home, the department said, they could hear 48-year-old Maxine Redfern in distress inside.
Officers determined Maxine Redfern was fatally shot inside the house and that 52-year-old Arnel Redfern fired at the officers, police said.

Those records show a history of domestic violence yielding hearings in October mandating that Arnel commit to several actions, including not committing abuse and surrendering his firearms.

Thanks again to the usual suspects.
I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.

Looks like we have a new page -bricks – to add to the 3 ring 3″ loose leaf binder encyclopedia set of T2NB2AGF.
Nutjob is a few bricks shy of a load.
I think every neighborhood in Houston is sketchy…tho if you go by the dearth of articles from KHOU you wouldn’t know.
Too bad pieces of paper and judges orders didn’t save Maxine. Ladies, you do not have to take abuse. The SOB has to go to sleep eventually if not sooner. Fight back…the life you save may be your own.
If Madison, or any of the other Founders of our Republic could see what has become of The Republic, they’d weep.
Do lubs my Mossy Maverick, makes an earth shattering KA-BOOM and would put a bad guy on ice, man. The LR Tactical would enable one to reach out further into the danger zone and cook his goose. “…with a slightly oversize knob…” That’s what she said. heh heh Our Beloved AW1Ed knew his Gun Bunny would get lost in that linky FIRST (*grins*) thing this morning. Well played, Good Sir…Well played. Too bad (BEAT) Navy won’t play as well weekend after next when they come up against (GO) Army!
Never bring a brick to a gunfight. Although, I know a guy who threw a brick at somebody who was threatening him with a baseball bat. Hit the dude in the face, threat neutralized. So, obviously, brick beats bat! That sounds like a game: brick, bat, pistol. 🤣
When ya need to get to somewhere in a hurry, but the bus is too slow, just get the police to be your taxi service…..straight to jail.
Eleven pm? I can see that. I wonder how sketchy the neighborhood is.
Where the Redferns grow…..
Now there’s a couple that have settled their marital differences, no more domestic violence, no more talks of divorce, no more thrown and broken items. Everybody happy and serene.
Seriously, though, I hope there were no children involved, like, the “happy couple” had NONE. These things don’t happen suddenly, they build up over time. Children don’t need to grow up in that environment, it perpetuates to the next generation.
Fuzzed it out when they took him down.
No sh*t, for real… the latest Rolling Stones tour is brought to you by AARP (yes, I feel old):
The remaining Stones are probably in the best shape of their lives. Well, Keith’s technically been dead since ’71, so he doesn’t really count.
Get it right, he’s been dead since ‘79. 🤣 No one’s had the heart to tell him. The only two original members are Mick and Keith.
A little different FGS: Marine Infantry veteran says enlisted shouldn’t become officers (taskandpurpose.com)
This guy got smacked down by a bunch of people, including Angry Cops: (49) Marine Officer makes the Dumbest Tweet Ever – YouTube
I’ve heard he was a Marine Recon Captain, but also that he was previously enlisted himself. He earned an MA at Columbia University last year, so I think it’s just a classic case of him thinking he’s smarter than the average bear and that his service was tainted by having to rub elbows with dirty Mustangs.
I know there are more than a few enlisted-turned-officers on these pages. What are your thoughts on this educated young man and alleged former officer? Is it really true that “Mustangs erode the esteem, legitimacy and distinct culture of the officer corps like merchants marrying into the aristocracy”? In my own experience, absolutely not. There are outstanding officers from all backgrounds, and there are not-so-stellar officers from all backgrounds.
The only enlisted-turned-officers I really butted heads with were a couple who’d been an E-4 and E-5 before going to West Point. Both had the mentality that they knew the NCOs’ jobs better than we did, and they had that USMA mentality bolstering their ego. The former E-4 was bad enough, but he was a Ranger-qualified PL as a CPT (Old Guard usually has CPT PLs, and back in the day a lot of COs were MAJs) and had led a platoon of 82nd Troopers in Afghanistan. Culture clash there, mainly, with the ceremonial duties taking some time for him to get used to. The former E-5 was a bible thumping 68W (Medic) turned 11A (Infantry), without a tab and in command of an Infantry OSUT company. It took him a few weeks, but he eventually learned that his job really was just to sign risk assessments and chapter paperwork while we Drills ran the company.
