13 women use firearms in self-defense against exes, criminals over 2-week period across US

At least 13 women across the country used a firearm to fend off assailants between the waning days of July and Aug. 12, local news reports show.“Can we take a minute to appreciate how many women have protected themselves and others with firearms in the last two or so weeks? It’s basically a highlight [reel] of just how important the right to keep and bear arms is for us, too,” Heritage Foundation senior legal fellow Amy Swearer posted on X, previously known as Twitter, detailing the cases.
Local news reports from Arizona to Pennsylvania show that between July 29 and Aug. 12 there were at least 13 instances of women fending off assailants, most notably their own exes.
A woman in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, for example, shot and wounded the father of her child on Aug. 11 after he assaulted her.
The man was shot in the shoulder and had an outstanding warrant for violating a protection-from-abuse order to stay away from the woman.

Pit bulls attack Daytona Beach carjacker who broke into apartment, deputies say
Anthony Galloway, 42, faces charges including grand theft, burglary
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – New details were released Tuesday about the arrest of a carjacking suspect out of Daytona Beach — including how he was attacked by pit bulls after fleeing from the crime scene, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Anthony Galloway, 42, ditched a car he had stolen during a carjacking at a BP gas station on Monday morning and started banging on the door of a unit at the Whispering Winds Apartments complex while screaming “Momma.”
A 57-year-old woman living in the unit partially opened her door after hearing Galloway scream, and the man managed to force his way through the door, knocking her backward and slamming the door shut behind him, deputies said.
According to a news release, when the woman realized Galloway was a stranger, she commanded her two pit bulls to attack him.
“He had his hands up, hollering, “Momma, momma! Help me!’ I’m like, ‘I am not your momma. What are you? What!?’” said Marie Gilbert, who lives in the apartment. “I’m like, ‘Oh, I don’t know you. Get him, girls!’”
Gilbert explained that one of the dogs latched onto Galloway’s arm and the other on his hip. Once law enforcement arrived, they asked her to call her dogs away.
“(The dogs) grabbed him here, and the officers came in, and once they came in, they asked me to call the dogs off,” she said. “And once I called the dogs off, he got up from here, and he ran here and jumped out of my kitchen window.”

According to the sheriff’s office, Galloway’s criminal history includes 67 prior felony charges with 12 convictions and 25 previous misdemeanor charges with 22 convictions. Those charges include 13 counts of grand theft, three counts of aggravated assault with intent to kill, aggravated battery on law enforcement, burglary with battery, armed robbery, aggravated fleeing, child cruelty and narcotics offenses.

No Charges for Concealed Carrier Who Shot Alleged Robber While Holding Six-Pack
The concealed carry permit holder who shot an alleged robber while holding a six-pack of beer in Cassopolis, Michigan, will face no charges.

Breitbart News reported that 35-year-old Cordelius Anthony Martin allegedly entered the store and announced a robbery. Surveillance video shows that a customer was in the store at that time with a six-pack of beer in his hand.

Seems like Mr Galloway has enough on his rap sheet for two entire games worth of strikes.
Hopefully the dogs put enough hurt on Mr Galloway to put a permanent gimp in his limp. (Or is it limp in his gimp?)

Arm yourselves, Ladies and…Prepare. Another good point that’s brought out is this line; “Self-defense gun cases often go unreported by major news outlets.” The struggle is becoming more reelz everyday.

About 100fps in velocity, a bit less muzzle energy. Accuracy – effectively none.
As David pointed out, the technical specs are so close as to be a rounding error. Looking toward the shorter barrel for a little bit better ease of handling in tight quarters.
