Boomer’s Sunday
“May you live in interesting times” is not a blessing. Thanks for all the contributions.

Good morning and thanks for the smiles. Also, thanks for the material to share.
Ditto
Another great collection.
DON’T KEY THE MIC!
PUT DOWN THE MIC!
That’s the most erect antenna I’ve ever seen.
Wow!
I could tune in some frequency with her. My resistance is low and I have a high capacitance for modulating.
May nothing nor anyone impede you.
But is she willing to receive your transmissions? 😉
Welp, ol’ poe…that is a WHIP antenna, sooo….
Are you implying someone should “whip it good?”
Well?
😉😎
Thanks for the smiles!
I’ll see your matches and raise you cans of kerosene…and why wait for dawn? “In the midnight hour…” (ht2 Billy Idol)…or better yet…a little something from The Brothers…
Just heard this morning on the local radio. Sunday morning Kshe classics pairs well with Boomers Sundays.
Knew the Brothers quite well in my youth, counted myself among the FIRST of their followers. Helped that I lived in Macon and was a semi “Garage Band” Musician back then. Was at Fort Sill when Duane was killed in his moto sickle wreck and in Germany when Berry was set free a year later. Introduced a whole bunch of my “yanky” troop mates to Southern Rock.
Rest Easy, Sky Dog, I still play your music. Still have a few of the original poly vinyl carbon platters.
A few I have seen before but holy cow what a great selection this week.
Looks like they dropped All pretense.

So, folk really were right in the ’50s and we weren’t bigots at 12 to be afraid of NAMBLA:
Yup, one never knows when one is about. Except, now they are out, “loud and proud.” And they are happy to tell us they are coming for our children.
That woman who couldn’t get her balls waxed should be very grateful.
One a long enough timeline the clowning rate for everyone drops to honkhonk.
Warning: NSFW Larsian-language used, ‘ideas’ expressed
‘The Road Not Taken’ by Robert Frost
[transposition: a) an ok type of trans, 2) kinda my thing.]
[edit: also, speeling good two! “On a long enough timeline” ffs.
Talk about the cosmos conspiring to confuseitate this c*nt with its chaos… just happenedso this meme fall in my lap and done picked hands down one of the best scenes in that movie.
Frederic Fenimore Forrest Jr. (December 23, 1936 – June 23, 2023), portrayed Jay “Chef” Hicks in Francis Ford Coppola‘s epic war film Apocalypse Now (1979).
My favorite movie (that I can’t watch anymore).
“Never get out of the boat”,… sage advice.
Thank you for the art you’ve left behind.
Kutz got out of the boat. He split from the whole f*ckin’ program. …
Ok, two more and training time:
Last. Promise.
Another perspective
Very tasteful.
On a side note, there have been a lot of bad jokes and memes going around about the recent loss of a submarine.
How can people sink so low?
We’ll get there- it’s the news cycle catching up. For the record I hope to never see a Chinese spy balloon ever again.
Well, if some people decided to pay 250k for assisted sussudio, who are we to stop them?
At least they didn’t leave a mess for someone to clean up.
I’m waiting for the person to “see what I did there.”
We saw what you did there and were imploding with laughter.
Too soon? Put a cork in it and your line won’t sink so fast.
Ol’ Poe would call that bottom-feeding humor… 😉
Bada bing.
Great stuff!
Heck yeah!
When conservative arguments are mostly, if not completely, labeled as “conspiracy theories,” these “conspiracy theories” are bound to turn out to be true. I posted long range weather/climate related topics here that would be subject to the “conspiracy theory” label.
As for losing Ukraine, Putin is doing a good enough job doing that. Heck, he temporarily lost control of parts of Russia.
Good ol’ ‘Company man’ Jim.
He’s a good listen as long as one understands 50+% of the crap that comes out of his mouth is from forkéd tongue.(see meme)
I happen to agree with his Commodity Super-Cycle call, which gives credence to the rising of RF to be the New(est) Gas Station of the World, that is right until they stepped all over mister johnson.
These times be perilous and shit
He didn’t agree with what I said. 😀
Also:
Hm. “Victor Victoria” was a 1982 movie.
2023 = “Rainbow Dawn”
Panzy/Pansy Division:

Joe’s looking like a tired hound, just not cute, by ‘number a’country mile. (pic)
I liared, kinda like a biden but far, far less evilly. (meme)
……
Got to the range READY ON THE RIGHT to throw some green tips, and the RSO says “can’t, lightning”.
“Wtf” I thinks, I ain’t hear no lightning, ain’t seen no thunder. I put everything a way, head home.
Wouldn’t you know, just sit-down infront of this Apple® brand idiot box and WHAM! Zeus spoke!
Big fuh king bands of pretty blue cloud-to-ground.
Glad I watered the garden… /s
I was RSO for our local sportsman’s club once.
Once. Brrrrr..
What’s the big deal? Lightning is a little exciting when the ground charge raises every hair, and the adjacent tree explodes, but other than that….. meh.
SDNCO saw me light up and fall down with the stroke. When I got up and walked in, like nothing happened, he was pale as if in deep shock. Really freaked. He thought I was a dead man got up and walked.
Yeah, ok, maybe a bit interesting at the time….
Fort Benning has LPAs (Lightning Protection Areas) nowadays. When I went through as a Private we simply laid down in a field and hoped for the best. Much like down here in South Louisiana, Georgia gets almost daily evening thunderstorms. We had them at Stewart, and we definitely had them at Benning.
One day, another DS and I are standing outside the large shoothouse complex at Malone MOUT. Typical storm rolls in, so we huddle in the doorway while the Trainees are nestled inside the structures. Suddenly the world lights up and it sounds like a gunshot. Sure enough, lightning struck the tree right behind us. The Trainees probably thought they were down two Drill Sergeants.
That same DS told a story of a sudden storm hitting during a range day before I reported. They were pulling Trainees off the firing line when lightning struck one of the firing points a few meters away. Those lightning strikes are probably some of the better basic Training stories Privates tell when they report to their units.
