Man identified after alleged domestic violence incident leads to Cobb officer-involved shooting
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation released the name of a man killed during an officer-involved shooting in Cobb County on Saturday.
According to the GBI, Murdock Jackson, 33, of Carrollton, died during the incident.
Saturday, Cobb County police said they were responding to a call about a possible assault on a woman near Austell Road and Milford Church Road around 4 p.m.
Authorities said officers were responding to a call for a domestic dispute on Michael Drive in Marietta.
According to officials a neighbor reportedly called and told officers the woman being assaulted had also been threatened with a gun.
When officers arrived on the scene, they said they found the suspect armed.

1 dead in Park City shooting
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Sunday update: The Park City Police Department confirmed one person is dead after a shooting early Saturday morning.
The department said just before 2:30 a.m., officers were called to the 1700 block of E. 69th Court N. for a shooting. There, officers found David Pomeroy who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The preliminary investigation revealed Pomeroy had entered a home without permission and threatened at least one person in the home. The department said one of the people in the home shot him.
The shooting is still under investigation.

I’ve about given up on trying to convince people of the need to being prepared with food, water, essential meds, weapons, ammo, ect… When they say they’ll just show up here when it goes bad, I tell them “Good, I can use more bodies to shore up that North Wall.” I don’t think they fully understand what I mean.

Yes, the rifle stock is polymer.
But IIRC, polymer (caveat – properly designed and using proper materials) is less likely to warp, swell, split, and do all those nasty things that wood is want to do over time and extreme weather conditions outdoors.
Glock (and other polymer plasticized handguns) -vs- metal frame pistols is one thing, but polymer rifles is (again, as far as I know) an acceptable thing.
