Jack Teixeira twice subjected to ‘cease and desist’ order for unauthorized access to classified material, remained on the job
Jack Teixeira apparently has a track record regarding irresponsible behavior related to classified materials. Normally, access to classified material is based on a need to know as well as level of access. Teixeira was told to remain in his lane when he was caught searching classified information not related to his duties. Despite being warned twice, Teixeira remained in his position.
From Fox News:
Air Force officials reportedly ordered Teixeira to “cease and desist on any deep dives into classified intelligence information,” according to The New York Times. However, he was not removed from his position.
“Teixeira had been previously been notified to focus on his own career duties and not to seek out intelligence products,” a superior wrote in a Feb. 4 memo obtained by the outlet.
Teixeira, 21, allegedly took information from classified documents and shared them over Discord, a social app primarily used by the gaming community, to potentially hundreds of people.
The app allows users to set up individual servers or join other existing servers that can range in size from just a few privately invited members to larger servers with hundreds of thousands of members.
Teixeira, who worked as a cybersecurity journeyman for the Air National Guard, is accused of initially sharing typed-out classified information over messages in a small, private server — called Thug Shaker Central, which had about 50 members — before he provided photos of classified documents.
Fox News has additional information on this story.

Sounds like there might be a job opening for a security manager somewhere.
Sounds like that job has been open for quite some time.
Wow, guess Jack thought he was a super secret agent or something and rules did not apply.
Or someone higher up the food chain has gone full CYA.
Can’t believe there ain’t more of this, tech homies throwing lies of the empire out for the lolz.
Per usual the real crime is just that, exposing the truth, so naturally the tag-team butt-buddies of state and press will skewer this guy like a casting couch bunny.
Don’t know if just that I’m getting older so the summation of a lifetime’s worth of poopshitfuck excreted all over me (us?) by The They finally broke this camel’s back or it’s just that bad now…
Anyway, dude did a bad by-the-letter– so I guess string him up by the balls and anyone else that left docs in an unlocked garage for his crackhead son to root through.
The Bitch of Benghazi had no comment.
And Now This..
Schadenfreude!!!!!

“Non-Binary Ex-Biden Official Sam Brinton Arrested Again As ‘Fugitive From Justice'”
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/non-binary-ex-biden-official-sam-brinton-arrested-again-fugitive-justice
“Sam Brinton, the embattled former senior Department of Energy (DOE) official, was arrested as a “fugitive from justice” by Maryland police late Wednesday.”
“According to county records reviewed by Fox News Digital, Brinton was taken into custody in Rockville. A police spokesperson said Thursday the arrest was led by Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police, which is the lead law enforcement agency for both Washington, D.C., area airports.”
“Montgomery County Police assisted in the arrest of Sam Brinton,” Shiera Goff, a Montgomery County Police Department spokesperson, told Fox News Digital. “The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police are lead on this.”
“Brinton was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. last night in their home on College Parkway,” Goff added. “They are being held in the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit on a no-bond status as they await an extradition hearing. That’s all of the information we have on our end.”
“In an interview Thursday with The Daily Wire, which first reported the arrest, a witness who claimed to be Brinton’s neighbor said Brinton was arrested about an hour after four unmarked police arrived.”
They are freaking nuts and it’s an indictment of this system that a security clearance was given to them.

Them deadly “assault airsoft” thingys…
You’ll shoot your eye out, kid!
The way this retired grunt sees it (bear in mind I only ever had Secret clearance, not some TS-SCI type super duper clearance), the classified information system needs reworking. There seems to be a lot of mundane info that’s classified and kept away from prying eyes. Meanwhile, there seems to be a lot of people who access to truly damaging information. From what I recall, Top Secret info can cause “grave damage” to national security, Secret “serious damage” and Confidential (we started using Confidential Unclassified Information–CUI–headers before I left the Joint HQ) “damage”. Why permit so many people to get TS clearances, and why is “need to know” so trivial in the case of someone like Texeira? He was looking for info that he had no need to access, yet was still allowed access to the systems that contained that information?
He was a cyber guy – in other words, supposed to be in charge of *securing* the data. In that role, they give you full access to everything, so that you can manage access rights, review access logs, stop intrusions, etc. Not so you can print off some interesting stuff to share with your homeys on Discord. Dood was using his admin rights to just browse through the folders he was responsible for securing… without need-to-know. And that was what earned him the warnings in the past. It is a direct violation of the privileged user agreement that he signed to get his admin credentials. Not to mention his vlearance. Both should have been yanked after the first incident. Or at least the second. Privileged users should be held to a higher standard.
“Not so you can print off some interesting stuff to share with your homeys on Discord”
This fellow was trying hard to be the big fish in his little (discord) pond.
Especially dorky that he wasn’t trying to impress girls, too.
Like all systems, it isn’t perfect. Like all systems, the problem is the people, not the system. God had (has?) a pretty good system, but Lucifer managed to screw that up. I doubt mere mortals can do any better.
So when is (are) the person (people) who told him twice to cease and desist going to be held accountable? They have a responsibility to safeguard classified information and report violations. Clearly they didn’t abide in the rules everyone else is required to. Their culpability contributed to this fiasco.
From recent media accounts it sounds like they suspended the Traditional Guardsmen commander as well as the full time Det commander already. I haven’t seen anything else in open sources. But I believe the one person shits so we all have to wear diapers process is in works.
As they probably quoted…
Wow
multiple infractions
should have gotten the boot after the first fuck up
.
…
……
Air Force leads the way
Wow, and I thought the Army went overboard when a subordinate forwards an e-mail that turns out to contain Secret SCI information on SIPR that all the supervisors and those that got the email needed to be retrained!
Hillary must have signed the Air Force version of the NDA!
This all seems far too convenient to me.
I’m willing to bet this kid released some info he shouldn’t have – but need-to-know is still a thing and these networks are horrible at talking to each other when you actually have a need.
Scapegoat.
Have fun in Leavenworth, kid.
He reel purdy.
He may want to claim tranny before they send him to the Big House. He will fare a lot better with Big Barb in the women’s federal pound.
Not really a safe bet anymore. Big Barb just might have a big Johnson.
That, unfortunately, is true; but so far, only in small numbers. And less so in the federal pounds.
