Accused car thief shot dead by owner as he drove off in Alabama parking lot, cops say

Irene Wright
An attempted car theft left one man dead after the vehicle’s owner shot the alleged thief, Alabama police said.

Around 6:20 a.m. on March 17, Huntsville police were called to a business after reports of a shooting, according to a news release.

A man is accused of trying to steal a vehicle while the owner went inside the business, according to police. When the vehicle owner saw the man in his car, he confronted the would-be thief.

Police say the car owner repeatedly asked the man to get out of his vehicle.

Then, the man tried to drive away in the stolen vehicle, prompting the car’s owner to pull a gun and shoot at him, according to police.

‘Bama isn’t Texas; the owner should seek legal counsel. He’ll likely need it. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

Judge grants SC woman immunity in killing of 20-year-old

By Ema Rose Schumer
More than three years after a woman shot a 20-year-old man to death outside a Ladson gas station, a judge granted her immunity from prosecution after determining she acted in self-defense.

Tunisia Monique Bryant shot and killed Javion Tyrese Ford on Aug. 15, 2019, at the Scotchman gas station at the intersection of U.S. Highway 78 and Von Ohsen Road. The 39-year-old woman cooperated with authorities at the scene. She was charged later that day with murder and a weapons offense, according to court documents.

Bryant’s attorney argued Ford confronted Bryant at the gas station in the presence of her children, threatened the family with physical force and reached for Bryant’s gun, which was inside her vehicle.

Bryant’s attorney grounded her argument for immunity in South Carolina’s application of the Castle Doctrine…

Mama Bear Doctrine: Don’t poke the cubs or bad things will happen. Can’t help but wonder why Ema Rose chose to emphasize Mr. Ford’s age. Surprise that he lived as long as he did?

One bleeding-heart type asked me in a recent interview if I did not agree that ‘violence begets violence.’ I told him that it is my earnest endeavor to see that it does. I would like very much to ensure – and in some cases I have – that any man who offers violence to his fellow citizen begets a whole lot more in return than he can enjoy.

One less car thief in ‘Bama. No worry, there’s plenty more where he came from. FAFO

SC DA followed the letter of the law. When that “…very loving person…” reached into the vehicle, by law, Ms Thang had the right to defend herself/children and property. He, too, FAFO. Claw, Whiz Wheel lubed up? 3 to run.

Testify, Colonel Cooper!

“The Shadow knows…”, that it is not the works of HMS, JMB (HBHN), but it is made of metal as God and you know who intended so there is that. “…she absolutely REFUSED to shoot a GLOCK. She hates how they feel in her hand, hates the triggers, and couldn’t be convinced by anyone on our squad to get on the GLOCK bandwagon.” Why do I feel a deep affection for, and a Spiritual Bond with her?

My my my, LBS (Little Black Shorts) gets the Gun Bunny’s attention as quickly as the LBD (Little Black Dress). Anybody else got an Old Classic ZZ Top tune running thru their head. “She’s got legs…”

Damn, I’m in love, wrap her up, I’ll take it!

That part of Huntsville is a very high crime area. Does not surprise me at all and I hope the DA realizes that 1 more turd is off the street and no charges are filed. Probably trying to steal a car to get to choir practice

That South Carolina case shoulda been wrapped up long ago. Three friggin years to determine that she acted in self defense? Some condemned DA was trying to push their Social inJustice Agenda on her.
Is it wrong to hope that the DA & staff involved in that prolonged agony are themselves victims of violent crimes with life-changing consequences – and soon?

Off-top, but certainly annoying… Entitled proggie left/libtard Mom complains how school should teach her kid how to wipe their ass, blow their nose, etc. instead of her ’cause, you know, it’s just too hard:

The law is MUCH better in Alabama then it is in Texas.

The way Alabama law works is that if you resist a theft in any way it then becomes a robbery.

Once it becomes a robbery you can then use deadly force to stop it.

You are also presumed justified in using the force to stop said robbery.

If the DA wants to prosecute you they have to have a pre-trial hearing to determine if the use of force was lawful after indictment. The legal standard of the accused is preponderance of evidence.

If not found lawful it can then proceed to trial where the DA still has to prove beyond reasonable doubt.

Unless the use of force is found unlawful then you are also then immune to civil actions; like civil law suits.
