Tennessee car burglar begs neighbors for help after injured homeowner returns fire on group of suspects: cops
A car burglary suspect was heard on his phone shouting ‘Y’all left me’ before he was arrested
By Emma Colton | Fox News
A suspected car burglar in Tennessee found himself begging for help from area residents after his intended victim returned gunfire, according to the local sheriff’s office. The unidentified homeowner living in the Websters Grove subdivision in Shelby County said he received a call from a neighbor on Thursday evening that there were several people standing outside his residence, Shelby County deputies told CBS Memphis affiliate WREG.
The homeowner told authorities that when he went outside, he saw two men in his driveway and another two men sitting in a white car on the street. The two in the driveway made a run for it when they spotted the homeowner, with one suspect firing a gun at the homeowner.
The homeowner was struck in the ankle but managed to return fire on the suspects, WREG reported.
The homeowner was recovering at home as of Friday, following surgery on his leg and foot.
One suspect managed to get away, while another one, identified as 18-year-old Marreo Mays, was arrested.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office said Mays went around the neighborhood knocking on doors asking for help and was heard on his cellphone yelling, “Y’all left me. Come pick me up.”

Your ride is on the way, Mr. Mays. Thanks to David and Gun Bunny for the links. As for today’s gun pR0n, because you can doesn’t mean you should.

That pic of the POF USA Tombstone looks like it was designed by someone who works at High Point.
Not graceful, not elegant, no clean sleek lines, but it probably works (any range tests yet?). And if all else fails (runs out of ammo or jams) you could use it as a club or just throw it – same as you would a High Point.
I own a Hi-Point C9 9mm. I have never had a problem with it. It works just as well as any other semi-auto I’ve fired, and is totally manageable. A bit heavy, true; but as you said, if I run out of ammo, I can beat the living shit out of my opponent with a couple of good arm bends.
That TN story is all kinds of Eff’ed up.
“Oh help me, help poor li’l ol’ me. I was trying to steal a car when the owner came out. I shot him and he shot me back and hit me. Oh, won’t some kind soul help poor me?”
I’m surprised a neighbor didn’t come out and finish the job the car owner started.
ROFLOLMFAO!!
Some more examples of poor career, partners, and victim selection skilz.
I think I’d like to have some cheesy grits, with shrimp and bacon. I think some grilled crab cakes would go well with that.
“…featuring blued steel, wood furniture and steel or brass receivers.” Just as God, Colonel Colt, HMS JMB (HBHN), and others intended. Some WTF moments in that linky.
I see what you’re up to, Gun Bunny.
I’d like some of those cheesy grits, if you can. Sounds good to me right now. Ummmm…..
There is pretty much only one redeeming factor in the gun pron. If you live in a non free state that is as close as you can get to a real pistol carbine. I applaud the manufacturer for at least providing an option even if it is fugly.
The lever gun is a very effective one. The Winchester 94 .30-30 has taken more deer than any other gun. It was only in the last few decades that the AR-type superceded the lever-action as America’s most common rifle.
Granted. But don’t you think the makers of the example at the top could have put a little more thought into the lines of that Tombstone to make it a little less Fugly Duckling?
You mean like this?
Here ya go KoB…
Tanks BCD. See other comments on yesterday’s FGS in re the Love that HMS JMB(HBHN) gifted to the World.
Did anyone ever make a Winchester ’73 or equivalent lever gun in .30 Carbine? (It’d be like .44-40, .44 Mag or so there… but did anyone actually do it? This was a question somebody wondered a few years back and nobody could find if there was.)
Granted we were all stumped… makes for a great argument over beer. (Heck, this new lever thingy shoots 9mm, some dude may thought… hmm, .30 Carbine… it’ll get ya going.)
So strange that the people wouldn’t help the guy that had broken into their cars, stolen their stuff and shot their neighbor. It was probably because they was raciss.
