Manslaughter case against Pittsburgh man withdrawn, Beaver County DA says evidence shows self-defense
Garret Roberts
Beaver County prosecutors announced Monday they are dropping manslaughter charges filed against a Pittsburgh man in August.District Attorney David Lozier said they have withdrawn all charges against Wesley Dean Deaderick, 29, after investigators say they determined he acted in self-defense in the shooting death of 32-year-old William Dawkins of Aliquippa.
The incident in question occurred when police officers responded to calls of a shooting on Cedar Ridge Drive in Center Township at 10 a.m. Aug. 20. Officers found Dawkins unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds in the street after he had confronted Deaderick about home improvements the contractor was performing at a local woman’s home in Cedar Ridge Estates.

Had to cast the FGS net pretty far this evening- guess everyone is home watching the election results.

The Prosecuter got his cup of blood in the legal fees needed for the charge. He set the price for self-defense. He can take that back to his supporters.
Gun Bunny can’t complain about “plastic”, “Tupperware” , or “abomination” when discussing these colonial long rifles.
They are guns of grace and beauty, even though JMB (HBHN) didn’t design them.
My little Kentucky percussion is accurate enough to beat my kids’ attempts to bust the water jug before I get loaded.
Personal Q (don’t have to answer – just nosy curiosity):
What caliber and barrel length?
Gun Bunny complains as a matter of course. Unless he’s arguing with you, so there’s that.
HEY!, I’m right here, you know that doncha? Just cause I been on escort duty most all day, don’t mean I’m not listening in on the net. My only complaint for today is having to choose between the porked loin with dressing or the fried porked chop @ Jeannen’s. Don’t make me sic OAM on yo’ azz.
A DA that got it right, in P’burg of all places. A real Steeler of a deal.
Dumbass shoulda come in thru the bathroom window, protected by a silver spoon.
Us with character are gonna have to use our rifles instead of our votes.
My Kaintuck long rifle is a Flintlock, .36, curly maple stock, 200th Anniversary repro CVA kit built in 1963. Accurate as all hell and fun to shoot. Not just a flash in the pan and since us Gun Bunnies are used to a slight delay before our “gun” goes off, our rounds are delivered on target, every time.
Bitchin’ Gun Bunny is a happy Gun Bunny.
Prove me wrong.

Don’t burgle that Ma’am in Birmingham,
stay on the lam, or dead you am.
Well rhymed, Sam.
Shot crawling through the window makes one a “suspected” burglar?
Ah, didn’t read the story first; not DRT, ran to Chevron station.
Yeah, I dislike that too often overused “suspected” and “alleged”. Hell, how did he get shot at that particular angle of bullet entry if he wasn’t climbing through a window? Did the homeowner climb a ladder and shoot him from above?
I also dislike it when the media insists on referring to criminal perpetrators as “gentlemen”, as in:
“The witness observed the accused gentleman push the elderly woman off of the platform into the path of the fast-moving inbound subway train.”
believe the ‘alleged’ thing is so lawyers can’t claim tainted juries. “Yer honor, we can’t get a fair trial because all the press referred to
this murderermy client as a murderer”…and so the press can’t get sued for slander if by chancethe murdererthe accused gets acquitted.[…] blog of the day is This ain’t Hell…, with a post on your feel good stories of the […]
