Halloween is upon us again! Two more months for 2022, then onto 2023. Which kids will get the most “fright” tonight? The kids that go trick or treating across the country, or those who will go trick or treating at the Biden residence? Happy Halloween!

Ahhh! Halloween. It not only appeals to my Irish soul, but I grew up in the coolest place for spookiness.
It was named North Tarrytown when I lived there. About 15 miles from the border with the Bronx on the east banks of the Hudson River, about ten years ago the village leaders decided to change the town name to capitalize on one of our most famous stories. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
We didn’t do all the fun things that happen there today, but it was still great to be there on Halloween. I remember a seance in the Old Dutch Church graveyard and spooky nights in Sleepy Hollow cemetery. Ooooooh, spooky!
And I got to go to the high school with the coolest mascot EVAH! The Sleepy Hollow High Headless Horseman. Love it!
And a lot of folks don’t know about our other famous event. The capture of Major John Andre as he was carrying the plans to West Point that he got from Benedict Arnold. The three militia men who captured him received the Fidelity Medallion, the oldest decoration of the U.S. military. But (there’s always a but) since it was only awarded to these three soldiers, it’s considered more a commemorative decoration.
So, the Fidelity Medallion is a highly coveted and rarely awarded military device? Even rarer than the Precious Metals Recovery Expert Badge.

He overstayed a visitor’s visa over fifteen years ago. With his rap sheet of convictions, he should have been deported, but San Fransicko has been a sanctuary city even before the legislature made Commiefornia a sanctuary state. So, if not for that he would have been deported back to Canuckistan many years ago.
