Suspect dead after shooting Missouri City police officer at end of chase, police say
“She is a strong officer and she will make it through this,” Missouri City Assistant Police Chief Lance Bothel said.

A Missouri City police officer was shot at the end of a chase early Saturday morning. The officer was rushed to the Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center in the back of a patrol unit and was seen being carried into the emergency room by several officers.
Houston police said the officer was shot twice, once in the face and in the foot, but is stable right now. She has been identified as Officer Crystal Sepulveda.
“She is a strong officer and she will make it through this,” Missouri City Assistant Police Chief Lance Bothel said.
He added that Officer Sepulveda’s family and friends are with her at the hospital. MPD Chief Michael Berezin was out of town when the shooting happened and was on his way back.
Officer Sepulveda, 29, is a three-year veteran of the police force.
Missouri City police said this started just before 2:30 a.m. when their officers were sent to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of Buffalo run.
Police spotted the stolen vehicle at Fondren and South Main Street. Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said the vehicle was said to be involved in an aggravated robbery in north Harris County on Friday.
Officers began following the vehicle and tried to pull it over, according to Missouri City police. The suspect vehicle refused, and a chase began. The officers called for backup from Houston police.

KHOU, of course
Hoping for Officer Sepulveda’s rapid and complete recovery. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

Plastic, pimped out.
Shoulda bought a real pistol.
Officer Crystal Sepulveda is very lucky, and cute. Prayers for a quick recovery.
The LA perp is DRT – when do the riots begin?
Yes; Officer Sepulveda is both a very lucky, and very lovely, young lady.
Hopefully the gunshot wound to her face isn’t serious. I also hope that the medical professionals will be able to get that wound to heal without disfiguring/scarring her face, because we all know and understand the horrible psychological toll that disfigurement/scarring of her face would take on her throughout the rest of her life.
Glad that the shithead who shot her is dead.
I depends upon Officer Spulveda’s mindset.
A bullet scar may just make her that much more effective as an LEO – “I took one to the face and the perp died” has an effect on the next guy. But it may, as you say, make her self conscious as well.
Dad had an uncle (this is back in the 1930’s) who was a driller in West Texas and northern Mexico. One evening in a cantina in Mexico a local decided to knife fight the gringo. He got his one cut in on great-uncle’s face, then received his knife in a way he had not anticipated.
Later great-uncle had his femur driven into his pelvis by an untimely detonation of nitroglycerine.
He could no longer work in the USA, so he went to work in Saudi Arabia.
When he spoke, an Arab moved. They decided he was not a man to be trifled with or to be put off by “inshallah” because when he spoke Allah meant “do it now”.
All those abomination Glocks should be posted to The Firearm Blog in a section they have (supposedly weekly) called “Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?”.
Call me odd (yes, please) but I like #5 with the Nintendo paint job. If nothing else, it has a unified theme. (unlike that two-toned gold-&-black pistol pictured at the top. GAK! Fudd Crap!) (if the posessor had kept the slide black with all that elegant engraving, the gun would qualify as a Hot Gat for sure)
Wonder if there is a battery pack for missy’s pistol simulator.
“Simulator”? Or “stimulator”?
I like where Ms Young Thang is pointing. Is she inviting?? Or just showing off her Point-and-Click interface device?
Two up, two down. Sorry, WW, that it’s not a trifecta, but the TAH Admin staff is doing their best with what they’ve got (which, admittedly, ain’t much). So at least crack us a smile. And pull yer pants back up. Wrong crack, wrong smile.
Pro tip to dirtbags; Don’t run from the popo after you have shot or shot at them. You’ll just end up tired…dead tired. I’ll volunteer to nurse that little cutie pie Officer back to health. I have those kind of skilz. I’ll also volunteer to place my “gun” inside Ms Thang Gunz Girl pants. My my my!
Y’all ’bout ready to break some of the laws that the despotic tyrants have passed that want to turn us from citizens to subjects? Time to change the things that we can no longer accept. The Founders weep.
You beat all you know that, dood? “Lipstick on a pig and it’s still a pig.” Lipstick and bling on a plasticized abomination and it’s still a plasticized abomination. The Nintendo decals is most apropos. Both are plastic toys for little boys. And pink? Yep, shows its real sissy colors. Think I’ll go gaze lovingly upon Kimber. Maybe that will sooth my aching eyes.

The Pirates Cove
Personal FGS story for today.
Keys started binding on my primary PC keyboard last week,
due to 2 years of ash, hot coffee, hot tea, iced tea,
and cream soda getting on, around, under, and inside
the keyboard and keys.
Clean up solution, worked great.
Unplug. Use backup keyboard.
Run under HOT water, relentlessly.
Use an old toothbrush to scrub all surfaces.
Rinse, again in HOT water.
Shake out as much water as possible.
Let keyboard stand in dish rack for a few hours.
Then….
Turn on the oven, set to 175F, and set to 15 minutes.
Insert keyboard in oven.
Remove keyboard from oven after 1 hour.
Plug in keyboard, that now looks (and works) like new again.
🙂
Hint – For those in a hurry… don’t hurry.
200F may work.
250F will likely create an oven mess.
And…. the loss of your favorite keyboard.
Good luck.
