Police dog finds $10.5 million worth of cocaine hidden in produce truck

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A police dog working with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department alerted officers to $10.5 million worth of cocaine hidden in a truckload of produce, the department said Friday.Police initially stopped the truck for erratic driving at 2:30 a.m. on Friday morning.
“The nervous driver had a story that didn’t add up,” the department wrote in a Facebook post.
Las Vegas Metro called in K9 Officer Nuggetz, who alerted officers to the presence of drugs. A search uncovered 230 pounds of narcotics in a “load of tomatoes,” police said.

Police: Man killed in gunfire exchange with officers
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A central Kentucky man who exchanged gunfire with police has died, authorities said.
Lexington police officers responded Sunday evening to a report of “an armed suicidal subject” at a home, according to a statement from the agency.
When officers arrived, the 43-year-old man stepped outside with a handgun and rifle and refused orders to drop the weapons, police said. He fired at officers, and five returned fire, striking him, the statement said. The man died at the scene.

A Margate officer shot and killed an 82-year-old man who pointed a gun at cops, police announced Monday morning.Sunday’s shooting happened at 12:46 p.m. in the 100 block of Rock Island Road and Northwest First Street, according to Margate police.
Police say they went to the area after receiving reports of a person pointing a gun at people. When officers arrived, they found Jose Antonio Suarez of Margate waving a gun around and shooting into the ground, police said in a Monday news release.
The officers told Suarez several times to drop his gun, but he didn’t, police said. Suarez pointed the gun at officers, and one of the officers shot him, according to the news release.

Bestest FGS for me; Today is the 4th anniversary of my FIRST Baby Stroke TIA. Second hit on 5 May, Docs gave me a year or so, if I was lucky. Obvious now that Heaven don’t want me yet and Hell is afraid I’ll take over. Be out and about today, seeing my new Ms Thang Doc and other missions. Hope Ms Thang Doc gives me the “Turn your head and cough test.” Y’all play nice.

Did you know that you were having a TIA when it was happening?
Yeah I did Tally. I knew the signs and symptoms and was gotten to a hospital within 30 minutes of the onset. That’s what saved my ass that time. Bounced back fairly well from it. The 2nd one took me out for a bit bit, it went from heart rate of 20 BPM to 0 BPM. EMT told me when the meat wagon was rolling up to the hospital, “Welcome Back” I am walking, breathing proof in the power of prayer, the Docs couldn’t ‘splain it.
Doing fair to partly cloudy these days, no physical impairments, other than slight balance issue. Takes a little longer to get my thoughts together, and have 0 patience for idiots’s BS. I am either Blessed or cursed to still be here, depending on your point of view. When I had stepped toward the other side there was a tranquility I had never felt and a clear voice that said, “Not yet, your work is not finished.”
