Repeat Offender Becomes Dead Offender: Brick-Throwing Suspect Killed By Philly Homeowner

A West Philadelphia homeowner shot and killed a brick-throwing, mask-wearing suspect this week, local media reports.The 49-year-old victim heard some noise coming from his backyard around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
When he went out to see what was going on, he was confronted by the 23-year-old perp who had thrown a brick through the window of the homeowner’s SUV.
An altercation ensued, and the older gentleman shot the suspect.

A man is in “stable” condition, according to Louisville Metro Police, after an officer with the department shot him Thursday afternoon..LMPD spokeswoman Beth Ruoff said police initially responded to reports of an adult man hitting a female in the face and stealing her “property” in the 1400 block of Paul Avenue, which is in the Taylor Berry neighborhood near Churchill Downs.
When an officer “observed the man matching the description” provided by MetroSafe running on Clara Avenue, that officer pursued, Ruoff said.
Ruoff said the man “rolled onto the ground” and pointed a handgun “directly at the officer,” and the officer responded by shooting the man.
