UN coaxes OAS to act on Honduras

The United Nations’ Secretary General, who can’t see anything to complain about when Chavez nationalizes private property in Venezuela, or when Ortega does the same in Nicaragua, or when Correa of Ecuador lends moral and material support to terrorists, urged the Organization of American States to step in and “restore the Constitutional order” in Honduras. From El Universal;

The Secretary General of the UN, Ban Ki-moon, requested Monday the restoration, under the auspices of the Organization of American Estados (OAS), of the “constitutional order” in Honduras, where president Manuel Zelaya was stopped and expelled by the military.

The OAS must assume “a leadership role to find a peaceful solution so that the constitutional order can be restored”, said Ban.

Those are some real pretty words – except that the Constitutional order has been restored. Zelaya was the fella who violated the Honduran constitution as I explained yesterday. The bloodshed in Honduras is because the OAS, Chavez, Correa, Fernandez and Ortega won’t keep their fingers out of Honduras.

If Ban is so concerned about the deaths yesterday, he’d be telling the OAS to step back instead of pursuing a path towards more blood shed.

And if Zelaya had a brain in his head, he’d throw up his hands, too. He got off easy compared to a lot of deposed Latin American leaders of the last century.

If he becomes too much of a pest to the Honduran government, they’ll have no other option than to kill his dumb ass so he can’t return. Sure he’d be a martyr, but he’d be dead.

Hey wait a min!!!
I got something useful Organization of American States can do. Back in the 80s I lost my car keys in Hondo. I can provide grid squares of places to look. I still have the 3 key alike master locks that one of the keys fits.

By the time they find the keys this whole mess will be over and they will have actually accomplished something.

I fully expect Obama will send US troops to Honduras in conjunction with our New Allies Chavez & Ortega, Castro to overthrow the Legitimate Government and allow this poltoon back into office.

Good God, man, don’t give the POTUS any more ideas.
I would hope that if he DID give such an order, that someone, somewhere, hopefully a senior staff officer in the chain-of-command would refuse to follow it, as being an illegal order. Now wouldn’t THAT put the fat in the fire!!

Unlike those in VV, IVAW, et al, who wouldn’t know a legal vs an illegal order if it came up & shouted in their ears & bit them on the ass.

B Woodman said, in part:somewhere, hopefully a senior staff officer in the chain-of-command would refuse to follow it, as being an illegal order.

Your point does raise several interesting possible scenarios. One left dangling relates to the Blue Beanies and US law.

Oh yeah… I reckon POTUS has these ideas already in mind. Look up The Southeast Asia Co-prosperity Sphere and extrapolate. Open borders, ‘free trade’, it’s all been spelled out. Toss in some guidance from Uncle Karl.

And I do get paid for being paranoid!

It seems that Obama did more than just get his picture taken with Chavez at the Summit of the Americas. Redstate has the story, Obama left everyone behind and met secretly with Chavez for “lengthy conversations”. And the media snoozed through it all. Only the interpreter was present. Wonder if they’ll ask any questions now?
